Well I was doing barrows and had guthan left to kill in the tunnels. He appears when I open the door and I fight him like I usually do. I have him redbarred, he hits a spec which lands a 20 on me which should of healed but I hit a 2 right after and he instantly fell down. Then in the chat box it says "We'll finish this later". I still got the kill count..but...wtf?? :-s

It was Guthan. Karil was the one in my tunnel, I just decided to save Guthan for the tunnel as well.

it does that sometimes. its a small bug where as soon as it dies, the game registers that the bro is out of range. when you run away or tele from a bro, it says that. however, it thought you ran away AS it died, so you got the message and the kill count addition. it happens

Jagex's little joke? Probably was a glitch so they replaced it with that.

The odd thing is though that Guthan did hit a 20, and it should of healed him 20 hitpoints, I hit a 2 right after and I guess that was what his previous hp was before he hit a 20, yet it somehow registered before his spec..? :-s

I had the same exact thing happen yesterday with Guthan too. I killed him as he spec'ed.

It happens if you get a bro to 0 hp, then they regenerate (whether through natural hp recovery or guthan's special) before they've died. I've only experienced it on guthan myself, but I've heard people talking about it happening with other bros.

yeah it happened to me with verac once, but i've had it happen with guthan too, if i were you i'd be glad he didn't get 20 more hp :wink:

It happened to me once with verac, I killed him and it says that, Im like "Wt...?". Funny thing is i got Verac's brassard that run :thumbsup:

Happened to me before also. I was somewhat scared that i would have to fight him again or something, but I got the kill count.

yeah it happens if you leave a crypt faster than the kill, and then it displays it, although sometimes you have to kill him again.

The thing is, he was right by me the whole time, but yeah, its a glitch, nothing bad came out of it except scaring me a bit :XD: .
