Backmasking is when you play a song backwards to reveal a hidden message, either intentional or unintentional. Lots of songs have been found to have Satanic messages (things like "Oh Satan! Satan is my ruler").

 

 

 

I've become interested in them, and have about 10 of them on my iPod that sound really cool. My favorites are "Stairway to Heaven" and "Another One Bites the Dust".

 

 

 

Is anybody else interested in Backmasking? Or know any fun songs to reverse?

I heard on some radio programme, that anything we speak played backwards makes some random sounds which can be interpreted into words.

 

 

 

However some bands do make hidden meanings on purpose cuz it will give them more controversy and hence publicity.

If you play the Pokemon theme song (japanese one i think) it goes "i love satan! i love satan! i love satan! i love satan!"

 

 

 

Also the Yu-Gi-Oh GX Theme backwards says stuff about satan.

First you need a program that lets you convert MP3's into WAV's. The one I use is one I just got today, it's called WaveMaker. It has a free 15-day trial and converts in less then a minute. Then if you have a windows machine then you go to Start > All Programs > Accessories > Entertainment > Sound Recorder, you find the file you want and load it into Sounder Recorder (via "Open") then you click the reverse button and press play! Then you can "Save As" to get it in a desktop item to get onto iTunes/iPods

Rofl, that's like exactly what my sister did after I showed it to her. I pressed the play button my iPod and like 4-5 seconds later she yanks out the headphones and turns on the TV :lol:

I prefer to find happy messages in rock and metal songs. I don't remember which Marylin Manson song it was but I managed to find "I loved you, I missed you, I left flowers on your door" which was nice and happy in what was a pretty heavy song lol.

If I remember correctly there's a Idi Amin impression in the beginning of a Maiden song "Still life" made by Nicko. :lol:

backmasking is awesome, i tried listening tocsome sytem of a down backwards...but no luck...it just sounded like a bunch of jumbled gibberish
