Featured Replies

Does anyone know the best way to produce a static charge so i go round poking my family and friends and give them a static shock becuase i am running out of funny things to do when i bored and i am stomped on how i can produce one.

Static electricity...try rubbing something like paper towel quite hard against your finger, it should give it a charge...but why would you want to do that? Sounds quite lame

If you have a trampoline outside rub your whole body on that.

Anyway, yeah trampolines and carpets are pretty good I think.

Get one of the spark maker things from light switches =P~

A friend to all is a friend to none.

If you've got a plastic slide, then going down that sometimes works. If I remember correctly, wearing nylon tracksuits help get you charged up.

Rub your feet on carpet. Simple.

The popularity of any given religion today depends on the victories of the wars they fought in the past.

Sit down on a chair(school chair=plastic type..) rub your but on it back and forth about 5 times, stand up touch soemthing metal(95% of the time will work, or touch some1 and it'll work about 75% of the time)

Lately I seem to be getting static shock every time I get out of a car and close the door. As soon as i put my finger tips on the door, I get a lovely zap. :(

I don't know about you guys, but when I look at myself in the mirror, it's enough to send shockwaves through the street.

Amen to that

Chances are, where you live it's less humid than usual. When you move around on the car seats you build up a static charge, then you touch metal to close the door and the static charge is trasferred from you to the door. It's a good idea to touch something metal before fueling your car as well to reduce the risk of a static charge igniting the fuel.

Just use a teaser

Effective, and you don't have problems with it yourself

Or use balloons.

Edit to below: Yeah, whatever it's called :P

Thanks for the correction O:)

I think you mean a tazer... or taser.... and I also think those are illegal in several areas (at least in America)

I think you start with saying "kamehameha" first...

Life is a joke. Yeah, I don't get it either.

I know I'm going a bit off-topic, but a couple of years ago I was randomly getting such static shocks when touching some things, like metallic beds, cars, TV's, some doorknobs, soccer goals, and even once when I touched another guy's elbow. This all lasted for around 2 weeks, and I was starting to fear everything electronic or metallic. :uhh: However, I have no idea what might have caused it.
