Rate my barrows setup~!

I just bought full v last night to kill the sara boss in. I love it now \

 

I am wondering if this is a good setup to camp at barrows for a while.

 

I have full guthans and have been teleing to house to recharge, but I feel like camping for some reason.

 

 

 

Anyway, if you see a place for improvment, tell me :thumbsup:

why not use black dragonhide. If you can't use it, why not get 70 ranged, not hard at all to be honest. But good setup otherwise :)

thanks O:) Im not gonna go to the mounds yet, first im getting 70 prayer, (67 atm, 70 banked) and i gess 70 ranged. If I do get 70 ranged, ill use my crystal bow instead of xbow

Nice set up, but i thought the point of barrows was to maximise the profit you gainned? Well using this set up your spending a lot in my opinion, you'd be better off camping in guthans, but just my thought.

Why not use the whole set? I see a lot of people just using full veracs on every brother, because the set effect hits through armor. It seems to work quite well, and eliminates the need for runes. You should try that.

Eh. You have alot of super restores, but your food wont last you. Either exchange most sharks with sarabrews, or substitute the super attacks for more sharks.

MORE SHARKS. Unless, you're gonna pray on Torag and Guthan? VERY VERY VERY BAD IDEA. You'll most likely run out of food on the first run. That just isn't enough sharks. Decent armor though.

i agree. Guthan doesn't hit often, but he will hit the occasional 23 or so, and torag...

 

 

 

Jagex in a recent update gave torag rabis, so now he goes crazy and will hit like three 19+ in a row sometimes :P

I'd remove your c-bow and red d hideand bring a whip. Those 3 items that you have are meant for ahrim. Whip works wonders on him, and if you do the brothers in this order: Dh, karil, ahrim, then whatever, you will have leftover prayer with 70 prayer and can pray on him. So, with a whip, you can also nail karil a lot better, instead of hitting lower with dds.

 

 

 

What i do:

 

 

 

Kill dh, like you do.

 

Pot up, unload dds specs on karil, switch to whip

 

Use leftover prayer on ahrim and whip him to death.

 

 

 

Just my strategy.

My best setup is Full guthans and slayer dart. Take whip, dds 1 click tele, spade, runes at the top of your invent. Have slayer staff and rune def equipped. Melee ahrim and karil (can take rnge for ahrim if you want, it is better) and use dart+ pray on others. take 4-5 sharks, then fill invent with s restores/p pots until you have 2-3 spaces left. For me, that gets me 8-9 runs before i bank.

I usually do it about like that (but more food and do 3 runs per chest on a single p pot...your food probably won't last), as far as inventory goes I'd use a zammy book over a sara book, but otherwise nothing much to change.

Nice outfit, but why so many super attacks, I don't see a flail or whip or something. Are you planning to melee them with a dds only, or just use it for the specs? :o

Here is the game plan. I do dh first, then I pot up and spec karil. I switch to ranged and own ahrims. Now hopefully non of those where my tunnels, if they where, o well.

 

 

 

Then I leave verac to force spawn, unless he is my tunnel. I pray on all them, and verac gives a wonderful prayer bonus.

 

 

 

I don't bring flail because thats not the point, the point of the verac is the nice prayer bonus.

 

 

 

anyway, the sharks are just in case stuff and for the tunnel. The super attacks are for karil.

 

 

 

I might lose 1 super attack because im shooting for 12 runs and 3 (4) is 12.

 

 

 

Anyway, i know your supposed to maxamize profits. If this doesn't work for me, ill try something else and will have only lost like 100k in pots.

Im currently half way done with a trail run. I decided to xnay the super attacks and replace with food.

 

 

 

I don't seem to hit well with mele on karil anyway, so its basically luck. Once I 4 speced him, so you never know. Ill replace the super attacks with food, keep the dds and rune def.

 

 

 

This extra food should last me threw torrag and guthans. Ill always force spawn verac. My prayer lasted me threw karil, but thats no differnt than with guthans.

 

 

 

Well just have to see how it goes after a few runs. If i find that the verac doesn't help, ill go back to guthans.

 

 

 

I still have to try full v tho, so im not quit threw yet.

 

Ill keep the verac eather way, I love it a lot, and im planning on kqing till I get 2 chains anyway.

 

 

 

To sum it up:

 

- If the verac's prayer bonus doesn't help, ill switch back to guthans

 

- droping the super attacks

 

- still have to try full v mele

You'll be using a full ppot/restore for every chest atleast if you're gonna pray on all of them, which is kinda overkill but yeah..

 

If you're gonna camp you're better off taking guthans (camp as in do 10+ chests at once), Verac won't last you quite as long.

 

And if you're gonna take Verac anyway, atleast bring a decent melee weapon like a whip to get kill count/kill Karil..
