Random Event - Maze

Featured Replies

Random events aren't random, they are mathematically computerized equations that are triggered when the equations are complete.

That's the easiest way to say they aren't random, its like two wheels spinning, and when you do something the odds of getting one of the numbers on the wheel increases..etc, until a number is chosen, and that number chooses which random you get, like you trade for constant amounts of times(increasing your chances), then you do something(number is chosen), boom thats the random you get.

Nothing is random online.

Randoms stink, we all know that, but we wouldn't like the prices of every raw material going down to 5gp ea, to get easy 99s, because we want to keep this game currently as easy for a monkey, and not make it easy enough you hit a random key and you get 2277 total. :-#

Iv been getting the maze a lot lately as well. The full inventory theory has been fairly accurate in my case

The Maze is my favourite random event. =P~

Your opinion is so very wrong .

It is most definitely a triggered random when you teleport.

I get a random almost all of the time when I teleport... you try it. Don't teleport for 30+ minutes and then telly, I guarantee you will get a random. Like... chop 100 yews and then telly. RANDOM EVENT!

Kill 50 ankous and teleport. RANDOM EVENT!

If you click a lot of command options - not walk here, but attack x npc or chop x tree etc., then you will get a random when you teleport. guaranteed.

text effects ftw?

Metal fans, check out my band!

Untrue.

It is very easy to predict when you will get a random by doing something over and over again such as killing a monster and then burying a bone youll most likely get a random.

Yes, besides RuneScape runs on a pRNG so it's not truly random; which explains why in certain situations you will often get one random event or another more often than others.

Well I think there are certain randoms connected to the various skills/locations.

Mazes rule, I like the rewards :P

Although I believe that randoms are not random really, as they have to be triggered by something, e.g. the game thinking your autoing.

Negative! The "game" will soonest think you're autoing, after you fail the random test :)

Agreed to test, take yourself off to moss/ice giants with some alchs, kill a load until you get a black shield, or mith spear, something worth alching, now alch it, unless you get it first drop you're pretty much guaranteed to get a random, then carry on killing, next item you get, alch. Again you'll probably get a random.

One odd shift I noticed, the specific randoms for an action seem to be a lot less common.

eg. Killling stuff in the stronghold to increase my sceptre parts collection, burying bones as I get them.

Used to get a lot of Leo's (gravedigger), plus Zombie or shades... not seem them in ages, but burying the bone seems to bring a lot of Molly (evil twin), Prison Pete, Drill Demon, Pinball, Mime, and the odd maze.

Can't remember the last actual bone burying random I got.

Safespotting the Catablepon, as soon as they have gon non-aggressive, I'm expecting a random, either a "take away" which will aggro them again, or a mystery box.

While they are "random", there are so many things which tip the balance - and my last bout of serious level pounding gave me full random event clothing (including Mime with full emotes), full Laderhosen, full camo ... already had full Zombie.

So that's how to do it. *Grin*

Thanks for the info... maybe I can force this game to give me the remaining 2 mime emotes I need to complete that set! (Tip: I don't break the rules, so I've been looking for a legal way to trip the system.)

<*Heads off to make the mime come... :-w ...*>

My last random-hunting expedition (killing minotaurs and burying bones) netted me 5 mime randoms (completing the set), along with countless others. I put a list of them in another topic about randoms.

In my opinion, random events are essentially triggered events (although which one you get is relatively random) with a random reward, and it's pretty easy to trigger them with the right plan in place.

WARNING: Prone to ramble ... but you probably already know that!
