reaper88888 Posted September 29, 2007 Share Posted September 29, 2007 In my area of the states, 6 boys and young men have recently been killed by a 'brain-eating amoeba' which inhabits the bottom layers of freshwater lakes, and, when people rough-house in lakes and get shoved to the lakebed, the amoeba enters through their nose, and into their brain cavity. Over the course of a few days it kills the victim by devouring their brain. In the entire world, only a few hundred cases have occured since it was discovered in Australia in the 1960s. Scary or what, eh? :shock: This is real, and there isn't much that beats it on the freaky factor... Discuss.
