Yes you're right, I'm sure the government of Mexico totally photoshopped this into the sky while citizens have spotted it. I mean it might have been fake if like, 1 guy saw it, but civilians did see it. You don't just see imaginary UFO's fly over popular places like that.

I'd just like to say that, for the record, a bunch of people saying that they saw something does not equal proof by any stretch of the imagination. So I still think that the video is fake. I don't trust what other people say they saw, they all could be wrong and/or lying.

Well, everything in the sky is a U.F.O until someone identifies it.

 

 

 

However, I seriously doubt they're controlled by aliens. It's just one of those things that I'd need to see, touch and prod to believe.

 

 

 

There are actually a lot of explanations for various U.F.O sightings, by the way. For example, when a pilot is flying over the ocean, especially at night, he or she can become disoriented, and not realise that they're flying upside down. So, the lights on the plane are reflected off the water, creating a 'U.F.O' effect.

There's videos, pictures about them, even theories, and theories proven by these atoms/molecules, yet you won't believe it, same with the moon landing, or even another famous event like live earth, it all could have happened in U.S. and the audience are just payed, and its all recorded? :-k

Well, given that the universe is infinite, there's bound to be sentient alien life somewhere in it, but it's probably not "watching us", and it's probably not abducting rednecks in Kansas or making flybys over Mexico City either. If sentient alien life did exist it could well be billions of light years away from us or even in a different universe, so I really doubt we'll be visited anytime soon.

 

On the other hand, military testing of secret stealth jets does happen here on Earth, and probably could account for quite a few of those claims.

There's reason to be skeptical of fringe ideas largely unknown and spouted by fringe sources with scant evidence. There's less reason to be skeptical of accepted ideas largely known, demonstrated and supported by tests and with major lines of evidence.

 

 

 

On this basis you can't reliably compare UFO 'theories' and something so fundamental and well supported by every experimental result like atomic theory.

I have to agree with you. The idea that people dismiss the idea completely as if they somehow know what UFO's are baffles me. But do they have reason to be skeptical? You bet they do.

With out a doubt aliens are out there, but its very unlikely that they are visiting here.

There's almost certainly alien life out there, I just doubt there are many other planets with species like us on them. Even if there were, why the heck would aliens, that can travel between galaxies, even care we exist? Unless they're looking for mistakes to learn from..

And you've gotta remember, people are presented with two explanations for almost everything.

 

1. (Insert complicated, completely logical scientific explanation here).

 

2. God made it.

In one of Sagan's books he talks about UFOs and hints that a lot of them are just classified military projects. Scientists and the military all know what the UFOs are - but they can't come out and debunk the UFO claims because they'd be revealing military secrets if they did.

 

 

 

For example, back in the 50s and 60s people used to report flying skipping objects in the night sky. No one could debunk those at the time without revealing classified info. But now we know that those were ballistic missile tests. We were trying to skip objects across the atmosphere at distant targets. Why? To deceive Soviet early warning systems.

 

 

 

When a government is testing black box projects, it is to their advantage to let the public believe whatever it wishes and to not reveal the truth behind the "UFO."

 

 

 

I certainly believe it's unlikely that aliens are visiting or observing us. They certainly aren't traveling across the galaxy to write graffiti in our wheat fields.

I think there are aliens in our universe, heck, maybe even in Centauro-Alpha's system (w/e it's called). It is only 4.2 lightyears away, so who knows. maybe next year we will be attacked like in "The Independence Day", or become friends with a totally different species (sp?)

Occupation: Sitting ontop of an office parking garage watching the fireworks.

 

 

 

 

 

Ok, the sky is an extremely dark shade of blue. It is 8 o'clock in the night. I am sitting ontop of the parking garage on Main Street.

 

 

 

Here's the catch. I looked up into the sky. There were 3 lights, 1 light in the back, 2 lights in the front, like a plane. Except this wasn't a plane. Plane's aren't triangular black shaped objects that fly backwards. It was scary like I and my brother were = :ohnoes: . I'm not sure if anyone else saw this.

 

 

 

Well, that's my story. It was really cool, the second time in my life I saw a UFO.
