The Wii Zapper!

The Wii Zapper hits the stores in America on November 19, with Link's Crossbow Training! :shock: When I first heard about this, I was thinking it was going to be like Time Crisis, I could just imagine hearing the T.V shouting "Reload!" again and again :P I know there is going to be Resident Evil on the Wii but I thought, is that? Namco are sure to bring out some awesome game, Namco have said nothing. Until Sega, came up with the idea of releasing Ghost Sqaud on the Wii =D> I was very pleased to hear this, it got better because Ghost Squad will have 4 Player modes and Nintendo Wi-Fi. <3: Ghost Squad will be bundled with the Wii Zapper on October 25 in Japan so its possible we can see this bundle over here too. I think Sega are going to boost sales of the Wii. Good job Sega! :)

Side Note - What is so Special for Nintendo on November 19 in America?

Wasn't 19th November when the Wii got released in America?

Correct, to be honest I'm not sure whether or not to buy a Wii, I don't think it's replayability factor is high enough to keep me entertained... Although I do play Runescape lol.

Urrm more like a shotgun? You clearly aren't looking at the latest version of the Zapper;

Looks pretty good to me, same graphics as Twilight Princess, which were pretty good already, and for a free bundled game, well worth it. By the way it's going to be $20 with the game, and most FPS's from now on will have a zapper control scheme, including Medal of Honor Heroes 2 which also has a 32 player online mode.

I think he meant how you have to reload after each shot. (in certain games)

Quit RuneScape :)

I'm just waiting for the first Jack Thompson to start blathering on TV about how this is just another way video games train children to be professional killers.

  • 2 weeks later...

For me, using this thing was ridiculously hard. Aiming was a chore, moving and aiming at the same time was nearly impossible, and handling the gun in general was uncomfortable. Of course,i I was using the non-nintendo zapper, but it's basically the same.

Heh. I wouldn't put it past them, but still I doubt there'll be much hubub in the anti-violent-video-game movement; plastic attachments like this have been around as controls for shoot'emup arcade games for a long time running now, and I'm sure even they'd be hard-pressed to dig up such an age-old debate.

I'm glad this is being released - I've been griping to my friend who owns Redsteel ever since it was released that they should have a special attachment for FPSes. The Wiimote just wasn't cutting it.

Is there an official page for this thing that I could link him to?
