Why does everyone hate................pures and pc....?

First of all; one point I forgot to add in my previous post, pc is hated a lot less now. My (and probably others too) main problem was the fact you could gain range and mage xp at a very quick rate without ever shooting an arrow or casting a spell. I think that's the main reason a lot of people don't hate PC any more.

If you look at the experience rates, you can clearly see that 50k-60k per hour is you're average exp rate at pretty much any popular training monster. Now scroll down a tad and you'll see the PC exp rates, from memory it was around 90k, almost double of you're average training.

 

A disclaimer before hand: I don't know the exact rates of any training method, these are estimates. Guilded altar is exactly the same. It's way better then the ectofungus and I've yet to hear someone complaining about that. Chincompas? Only a bit complaining about that, incredible xp too. PP? (Personally I hate the last one, it makes all the "old fasion" thieving obsolete, but that's a bit too much off topic =P)

 

 

 

Additionally, when the skill has been released 5-6 years ago and they wait for people to train for that long and then realise this new double-the-exp type of training, that's just cruel in it's own right to the "old school" players

 

What about whips, dragon weapons in general, etc. The first people got 99 stats with a R2H and full rune. I can imagine they're upset if they would have quite then and come back now, and see how easy it has become. But that's how a MMO works, as I've argued previously.

 

 

 

Money? You are rewarded mountain loads for picking this method, which can easily be done for as long as you like without spending a coin by using melle and initiate.

 

Don't exaggerate, games on the 100+ boat take about 2:20 min average on world 144. So at level 110, this would result in about 27.5K per hour. in reality it's even less, because you don't win 100% of the games. I can easily make that on a slayer task, alching everything with has a high alch value of more then 350 gp. And I gain magic xp that way, I have gotten at least 100K mage xp alching drops only.

 

 

 

Food consumption? Hardly required, you don't even lose items so dieing is a completely sound option.

 

For a high level, the change of dieing is so low, it's about the same for PC as for any other combat training. I think the change of dieing while lagging out when you get an evil chicken (or similar) random, dwarfs the change of dieing at any other way. And I hardly use food for training myself either (outside PC), guthan made food obsolete for high level combat training.

 

 

 

Last comment on the people claiming how "boring" PC is, you forget your oppisiton's arguement. Do you honestly think sitting in a dungeon full with dust devils while killing tens of thousands is fun? Think again bud.

 

That's why I like slayer, it's great to break up the monitory. Yes, my slayer level is quite low compared to my combat stats, but that's because I used to do a lot of barrows, do a huge amount of CW and used to do a lot of boring combat training. And you can train at bandits with hardly any attention, so you could do your homework or something similar while training. Try doing that at PC.

 

 

 

Now that I've came back it really is disturbing how many more high levels I see, and how much respect I've lost for so many of them because of the disturbing ammount of less knowledge so many of them have about the game.

 

I have yet to meat any high level who has serious incredible low knowledge about RS. Yes, I've heard all the stories, but those are just exceptions and I haven't heard them in a while either. I agree I see more "noob" outfits at PC (less firecapes, less dragon, more cheap/incomplete outfits, etc.). But does that mean they have less knowledge? Maybe they like to spend their money on something else then incredible expensive outfits/weapons. Or maybe they're just poor (which is incredible relatively). And unless you think I have very little knowledge about the game, I'd say I'm the living proof of not having to be rich to have a lot of knowledge about the game.

Well, as far as I know, most pures (that I have met) are kind of cocky and rude, because of there high str/att and low cmb lvl

 

 

 

 

 

As for the PC Products, there are also sometimes rude, called people stupid for training on monsters and not at PC

I hate pures because most of them think everyone is a noob if they have over 1 def and 40-60 atk, and if they dont pk at all. Its like they only live to pk in rs.

About a half hour ago I wastrainign at bandits when a lvl 101 comes in. From his name I could tell he was a pure and when I asked him to leave he says "naa, i just hopped 10 worlds". I then logged out and found another world.

 

 

 

This happens a lot, and in my opinion a lot of pures (not all) are arrogant snobs.

 

 

 

I don't have any problem with pc now that the expirience was cut in half and is more like a mini game now then a training site, but even when it was fast exp I didn't mind it that much.

I have no idea why pures are hated, but about the PC...

 

I think it's hated upon many, because they want the fast exp, but are too lazy to keep training there. Then they make some lame excuse why they won't train there. I myself belong to the group who are too lazy and want the fast exp, but I don't have to defend my laziness with lies.

 

As they constantly keep pummeling PC's reputation, people take that bullcrap up and don't try it out themselves.

 

 

 

In reality PC was a great minigame and after update it became more of a less wanted alternative training method. Those who fight the boredom and PC deserve the fast experience. The ones who are lazy and AFK (aka not even doing anything to deserve the average exp) get slower experience.

 

 

 

Not saying that there aren't people who don't like PC purely, because of the too fast experience, but that club is a small one.

 

 

 

Now if you still hate PC, ask this from yourself :

 

Do the ones who WORK for their experience, without bots, without afk training, deserve faster experience than the ones who DON'T WORK much at all for their levels?

 

I mean if you think of it at all then the answer should be YES.

The points about drop trading and flaming are true for a lot of pures, and makes me respect them less, but seeing pures at duel arena or having stupid names dosen't make me dislike them.

Short version for all you people with short attention spans:

 

Pures are, for the most part, arrogant and rude.(Yes, some exceptions, I know, don't flame me.)

 

Pc products are people who have played for maybe 4 or 6 months and are lvl 100-120+... And they still have the maturity level of your average lvl 50. But hey, at least they provide plenty of loot for the REAL players when they try to pk...

 

 

 

Long version:

 

Pures; characters with low combat levels who hit incredibly high, the people that dominate the lvl 40-80 range of the wilderness. Their power alone provokes envy from non-pures, as well as many people who made pures that aren't any good. Added to that, a large percentage of pures, maybe 75-80% are incredibly rude, and try to force everyone else into their moronic, restrictive code of 'honor', which essentially says that 'you cannot do ANYTHING to prevent me from killing you. If your hpoints are low, do not eat, if I am using a dds special, do not eat, do not have a high defence level for any reason, if your life is seriously endangered, do not for any reason use prayer or teleport spells, because doing any of those things could make it harder for me to take your items'. Note that it's mainly the pures who can't pk well that try to impose these rules on others. Hmm, I wonder why everyone hates pures?

 

 

 

Yes, I know that some pures are polite, but most of them aren't.

 

 

 

 

 

Pc products:

 

You take an average adventurer, let's say his name is Bob, now Bob is just a normal guy, he plays a few hours every day, and bit by bit, he slowly levels up, until after years of work, pleasure, and experience, Bob has finally become a level 126, with all his stats in the 90s. Bob is a happy, mature, contributing member of the Runescape community.

 

Let's take a look at another player now, his name is Bill. Now, Bill is a bit more demanding than Bob, he wants everything NOWNOWNOW. So he spends several agonizing( :roll: ) weeks getting to 40 combat, then he gets members, and heads straight for PC. After 6 months pcing for 8+ hours a day, Bill is level 126, but with almost no stats besides combat stats. Bill is still immature and rude, in other words, a 'noob'. Now Bill has a lot of money from all that pcing, so he goes and buys supplies, does a few quests, and gets a few certain skills up as quickly as possible. Bill now has ancients, full ahrims, a mage book, a master wand, a fury ammy, drag boots, an Armadyl godsword, and an obby cape.(All bought)

 

 

 

Bill takes his 'ownage' stuff and account, and heads into the wilderness for the first time, and sees Bob. Bill attacks Bob, shouting numerous insults around the censor. With his years of experience, Bob quickly kills Bill, taking all of his items. Bill puzzles for a few minutes, then figures out how to pm. He quickly spams Bob with unfiltered insults. Bob reports Bill and rolls his eyes. A day later, Bill tries to log on, but finds that his account has been banned. In a fit of rage, Bill smashes his computer, and goes to cry in his bed.

The only time i h8ted pures was before they saperated the boats. Other than that they are jus player to me that own if they know how to use em. PC is super lance bass...taining str i only get about 54k xp per hour that weak as hell.pc is wothless now...only to see ur max hit or somthin or to go there when bored.. And about the rudeness is exactly the same. There were rude high levels/pures before PC and there are rude high levels after PC. I don't see a big increase in that; the percentage of rude high levels has stayed approximately the same.

Also, I'm sick and tried of people blaming every bit of in-game rudeness on pures. I remember asking a higher level player how to do demon slayer as a "noob". Do you know what he told me? "Go download a quest guide with a key logger!". He didn't seem too pure to me.....

i think its because there are alot of pkers with bad attitudes (the word safer and owned is very anoying) but i find the higher leveled pkers show much more more respect.

PC is just an evolution of the game - use it if you want to. You would not flame someone for using new armour would you? The game will be continually changing, as most top level players have said; the methods in the past are now obsolete in the future.

 

 

 

The wild is full of rude pkers - ranging from any built of character. The similarities and scope of attitudes are the same throughout.

No-one exceptionally hates pures and pc products... I mean i bet most people envy the fact people make another account with better stats on one skill than their own main. I bet they envy the fact they didnt have PC when they were leveling to lvl 126. To be fair its just envy. And pity, i feel kinda sorry for the people who have the TIME to make a couple hundred skillers. But i cant admit i dont envy them for having the determination to do it.
