January 24, 200917 yr .50 cal is good, but not really accurate and although it's semi-automatic by the time it's steadied itself from the recoil most bolt-actions would have reloaded, then again in the hands of a good sniper they wouldn't need to reload due to their accuracy :lol: M40 > R700 > .50cal IMO. Then again I mostly play hardcore so other than the M21 damage isn't an issue even without stopping power.

They still haven't fixed the stupid thing.
January 24, 200917 yr It has 4 bullets and horrible accuracy compared to the M40A1 or Barrett .50cal. It's garbage.

January 25, 200917 yr All of the rifles are worse than the M40a3. That and the Dragunov are the proest ones. Most starter weapons are the best, to be honest. Coolest thing happened to me in a scrim yesterday. It was a 5v5 match, 4-3 in my team's favour, 2nd round, they'd won the first by 2 points (first to 10 wins the round, 3 rounds), me and a Sniper were the only 2 left alive defending the plantsite (this is on Bloc). He basically had his sights trained on one of the bombsites (in the building), while I patted around near the second one (near that stairwell and broken wall). He says that they're heading to plant at the one in the building, he gets one down, so there's 3 left (one had died in their initial assault), I head up the busted ramp thing, jump in blast one with my pump, turn around knive another, then prone and kneecap the other guy and defused it. So flukey, yet it feels great when you're in the zone. xD We ended up winning the 2nd one and losing the tiebreak round. :( sleep like dead men wake up like dead men
January 25, 200917 yr R700 is just an M40A3 with less capacity, accuracy, and more aim sway. The extra damage means nothing as M40 is 1hk anyway. Dragunov fails because its rarely 1 hit kill in the chest, and you cant get another shot off like M21.

If you try for headshots all the time you will get way less kills.

January 28, 200917 yr For my money, the M40 is the best sniper. Good damage, not too killer recoil, and it looks snazzy. On a different note, I had my best game ever (I've only had it for a month), today on Shipment playing HQ. 60-44 with 10 assists and a heli. The code in my sig should say 1032 not 0132.

I've gone 146-16 with a few helis and stuff, with a 30 killstreak :D RPD camping is so cheap. I was going to eat hot dogs for dinner tonight. I think I will settle for cereal. January 31, 200917 yr I was just playing ffa today, and my absolute favorite weapon for it is the m14, using a acog scope or red dot. I got the highest score like 5 rounds in a row, then I left. What I did was just find a building, block the exits as best I could with claymores, and snipe. I like it better than a normal sniper rifle because if someone gets close, I can just hip fire and usually hit them twice for a kill. Hegemony-Spain

February 20, 200917 yr ... It lives. I want this game. I played it at my brother-in-law's last weekend, and I'm pretty good, if I do say so myself. I have a knack for faster games, I guess. I had an almost constant average of 20 kills and 4 or 5 deaths a game (most of the time). And on my bad times, I'd still get a lot of kills, just a whooole lot more deaths. So yeah. I want this game for rizzle. Maybe I'll rent it sometime soon, so I can see if I'm actually good. catch it now so you can like it before it went so mainstream

February 20, 200917 yr Well, finally starting to play CoD4 regularly now, and by far my favourite weapon is either any sniper other than the R700, or G3+Dot. Question about S&D, UAV Jammer or Stopping Power? I still haven't been able to decide. Currently two set-ups I usually use are: Red Dot G3 Frag x3 :| Stopping Power Last Stand And Drag. Claymore Stopping Power Iron Lungs Don't end up putting too much use to the Sniper now, since I finally got back my G3 with Red Dot (I mostly play at a friend's house). There's no such thing as regret. A regret means you are unhappy with the person you are now,and if you're unhappy with the person you are, you change yourself. Thatregret will no longer be a regret, because it will help to form the new,better you. So really, a regret isn't a regret. It's experience.

Why use an inferior gun rather than something unlocked from the start?
February 20, 200917 yr It's just a different experience, I guess. I'm sure you realize that I will still normally use the superior gun when I'm done with the R700.
