Xbox360 - Noisy?

Featured Replies

Ok, so following my next post, I've decided to choose a normal xbox 360 since the elite doesn't seem to be worth the money. I've heard xboxes 360 do a lot of noise, is it true? It is like really annoying? :?

IF you think about it, the 360 really is sort of a mini-computer, and so, like computers, it's quite heavy. It's not like a slim PS2 at all. Yes, it does make noise, but it's not really that noticable for me, so....yeah.

It's only loud when you add an intercooler to it like i did :P (i should've stuck to my fan)

other then that yeah it's pretty quiet without the intercooler ::'

I usually don't hear it.

if you listen for it, you will definately hear it. if you just play a game, it won't be noticeable.

What?

If you do decide to get an Xbox360 get a fan aswell (either an intercooler or one of them desk fans that costs ̢̮â¬Å¡Ãâã12.00) cos the Xbox can get quite hot.

It's quite noticeable, but it doesn't drain the experience or anything. It won't bother you unless you have your game volume on very low, and especially not if you have your xbox live headset on.

Life is a joke. Yeah, I don't get it either.

for the first few hours, it IS annoying. however, affetr no more than maybe 12 hours of play i hardly noticed it.

It does make a bit of noise but its ok

My Elite does make quite a bit of noise. It's only fan sounds that are loud though, so it's not very annoying, and I usually don't notice it.

No, it is not loud, the game noise drowns it out. And to whoever said that it goes away after 12 hours of gaming, what casual gamer plays that much?

Oh, and if you place your 360 correctly, it wont heat up that much, except if you play for hours on end, but all consoles do that, even N64.

There's no such thing as regret. A regret means you are unhappy with the person you are now,

and if you're unhappy with the person you are, you change yourself. That

regret will no longer be a regret, because it will help to form the new,

better you. So really, a regret isn't a regret.

It's experience.

i never notice it so i don't think its loud or i have hearing problems

But seriously, I will kill you all

I am back for realz this time I promise now that I am a member :p

when did he say he was a casual gamer? if he isnt then the 360 is not worth buying if you wont play it often.

Having just got my 360 today (IT ROCKS.)...I'd say it's noisy for about 10 minutes. It's kind of annoying...but once you go through it a couple of times, you have to listen for it to really notice it. It quiets down as you're playing, also.

It's kind of loud, but after like 10 minutes of playing it the first time, you forget about it and don't really notice it at all later. (At least, that's how it was for me)

The irony.

Anyway ontoppic like others said. Not noisy.

Do you even own a 360? it IS loud, but it has been said a thousand times on this thread that you just ignore it after a while.

P.S. Attacking my sig has nothing to do with this thread, so your insult fails.

Yes i do own a 360 but i don't listen to see if its noisy because it isn't.

It IS noisy. Try turning the machine on and leave the TV off. The buzzing (that happens on pretty much all systems) it is louder than most others. If not, you got the one 360 that doesn't.

If he has to listen with the TV off and the 360 on to actually hear it, then I'd say it isn't a problem :XD:
