I was walking in Varrock and passed some calling a another player a dumb fat "B....". I reported for foul language, when I noticed it was actually spelled the right way! Did Jagex let this word out for some reason or it still a bad word?

Yeah someone said that it can be done by some special thing. It happened on the tip.it chat once, when someone said a line containing a few bad words.

Well, the problem was 2 people in a matter of a minute. Both in F2P. I walked by one, kept walking and saw another person. I asked them how they did it, but they wouldn't tell.

Yeah I think they use alt codes. Just report them and they should be punished. I think this started when they allowed alt codes for german servers(?)

Yep, this was done with alt-codes, it has been reported as a bug to Jagex and they said that they're fixing it :P Hope it gets fixed soon so that more and more don't abuse it.

Well.. Some of those words in the pictures are actually real, neutral words, not insults... But adolescent kids have turned them into insults. :lol:

 

 

 

Still, typing them out with ALT+num codes is bug abuse. You can report them.

You can say it by typing "b" then doing alt+0160 then typing "itch".

 

 

 

It works because the special character #0160 is a space that isn't outputted in the chat but is read by the censor.

 

 

 

It isn't bug abuse, just bypassing the censor.

 

 

 

There is no point in doing it though, the censor is there for a reason - trying to get past it is pathetic.
