Zombie Plans-Revised

Featured Replies

Oh. Hex, this is what I was talking about earlier regarding nervousness and close combat.

RANGE VERSUS ACCURACY

Studies have shown that, given the trauma of battle. the closer a

human is to a zombie. the wilder his shooting will be. When practicing

with your firearm(s). establish a maximum range for repeated

accuracy. Practice against moving targets in ideal (stress-free) conditions.

Once that range is fixed. divide it by half. This will be your effective

kill zone during an actual attack. Make sure the undead do not

move closer than this zone. as your accuracy will erode. If engaging

a group. make sure to hit those that enter the zone first before dispatching

the others. Do not discount this advice no matter what your

previous experience has been. Street-hardened police officers. decorated

combat veterans. even -cold-blooded" murderers have ended

up as well-chewed meat because they believed in their "nerves" and

not their training.

Where did you read that?

I suppose basically you just need to keep as calm as you can when dealing with zombies, I know this may seem pretty stupid but could a person take a valium to increase there accuracy?

((anyone want to play the arena?))

Mather, basically, they have no body heat to lose and will continue going at their usual, sluggish pace no matter what.

You, on the other hand, do have body heat to lose, and will die if trapped in the cold.

Zombie survival guide, page 64.

Earth, why don't you try reading what I said before.

THEY WILL NOT GAIN RESISTANCE TO THE COLD SINCE THEY DO NOT REPRODUCE, THEREFORE, EVOLUTION CANNOT TAKE EFFECT.

What do you mean? We all know that evolution isn't real.

Also Mather, this discussion is entirely hypothetical for you because Norway is too perfect to be attacked by zombies.

According to the 2008 boot of lists its actually the best place to live, the worst place to live is ethiopia.

See, the best/worst places to live change when zombies are coming at you.

ross.. i keep saying the [bleep]ING VIRUS could mutate to give the virus imunity to cold. or resitance. whateverr you want to call it. so please... stop..

Mather, I need to find the book.

Its all from memory.

And I keep telling you that the chances of that are next to nil.

2Xeo5.png

Regardless if it mutates or not, extreme cold = extreme bad.

oooh. my bad for misunderstanding then ross. i was saying its possible, and i thought you were talking about giving the zombies imunity to cold. they already have that, and as long as they arent frozen into ice cubes, they wont be affected by the cold.

I never thought about that, but what about food?

1'666 posts - its a sign..... BTW i'm creating a new thread. More info later.

meatlover.png

I thought about that about 15 minutes ago, but how are you going to avoid zombies piling up?

Mather, it doesn't matter - over time they will become the foundations for extensions.

Zombies won't pile up near a circular tree, only near something straight like a wall.

If you're in an area where you see more then 1 zombie a year, you're in a bad area.

The worlds populaiton is 61 Billion, if you go to a desserted area zombies will not be plentiful but neither will food, you'll find more of other people aswell, which in an apocylpse isn't a good thing.

Hey, anyone like the idea of a roleplay where you have to unite civilians to get power, the civilians are controlled by a mod though. Like a sort of hegemony?

meatlover.png

mrg. ill go and look for survivors to help me out, and maybe some farmers. if [bleep] gets too rough, i may leave them to fend for themselves. may.

i think he meant 6.1 billion.

And guys, d'ya mind not asking about other games here? Thanks, mmmkay.

How good would northern mongolia/southern siberia be? Assuming you take necessary preparations and bring some people with you (and livestock) you could set up a nomadic lifestyle. Also hex would it not be a bad idea to go up against a crew of trained pirates? (On a note to mather that is not love or infatuation that is rather far into obsession if you ask me [in regards to the lady you have loved your entire life [or close to it]])

LNYvk.png

It would be fantastic , the zombies could barely move in the cold, there blood would just feeze.

I wouldn't be against a crew of trained pirates, i'd be against a crew of civilians trying to escape and a couple of guards and some boat drivers.

My favourite plan would be to set up at my school. It's a little ways away from the houses, and with enough explosives and a bit o' cement we would leave the zombies with just a solid wall going up from a river. We could hijack the delivery trucks, and use them as caravans to collect the supplies we need and get the heck out of there. The only downside is that my school has quite a bit of glass, so we'd need to barricade the windows and possibly move to the upper floor. Also, we wouldn't have many guns and other conventional weapons unless we raided the area across the bridge from my house, which is home to a few gangs. Not sure what kind of weapons they'd have, though. I would definitely bring my long-time friend with me, as he is the MacGyver of improvised weaponry. I would also bring along one of my classmates who's in the boyscouts, and familiar with survival strategies, explosives, and numerous other useful subjects. I could raid the local park for equipment, and the fire station for vehicles, weaponry (what would an extremely high-pressure hose do to zombies at relatively close range?), and possibly armour (fire suits should be pretty strong). Of course, most of this is assuming that I have some time to prepare. And I live in Central NYS, though in a relatively secluded area, so eventually I would have to move due to the inevitable shambling horde (unless they nuked NYC).

Remember, Remember, the 4th of November

RIP Dawngate ;-;

Heres my plan.

I start of gathering supplys, that is some canned food from the russian cupboard (its called the russian cupboard but its more like a pantry, anyway this cuboard is filled to the brim with canned food that might never get eaten, this cupboard is full to the brim of canned foods.

Anyway, i'd then find the right area to stay, there is a pretty secure house near me, i'd break into that and barricade the entrances with cars and other stuff, also making some home explosives.

I would detonate the explosives when there are enough zombies in the area and hunt food by walking to a farm and growing animals there.

meatlover.png

Zombies don't really have a problem with the cold... There is no blood flow.

Also, Hex, why are you so dead set on using explosives? They aren't as useful as you might think.

For starters, the second you set it off, every zombie in a ten mile radius is going to target you. Secondly, it isn't accurate as a killing device. You really don't want torso zombies dragging themselves through the undergrowth where you can't see them and then knawing on your ankle.

2Xeo5.png

sooo.. yeah... i still go with my plan to find weapons, and look for a place to set up a base. i ditched the mutant rabit ideas.. too risky. somthing of a well repaired medival castle would do, as there would be space to set up farms. and grow flamable stuff to burn the zombies. might not work tho..
