So, where is winderness tag?

More then a year ago, wilderness tag was mentioned in BTS. It didn't come. It was told to us that it would come next month.

We get a bounty hunter minigame that takes place in the wildy volcano.

 

 

 

Is this wildy tag? Or has it been scraped all together?

So were did you get from te bts its going to be in a wilde volcano? to me it sounds like karamja. and they said wilde tag was delayed due to technical restrictments

But this does actually kinda seem like either a changed version of Wildy tag or an effort to replace the idea with something better.

i cant fully remember but it was kinda like running to different places in the wildy and gaining exp. from it.

Wilderness Tag features a series of pillars dotted around the entire of the wilderness, with players being invited to tag them, similar to the way the Agility Arena works but without the timers. Players who successfully tag all the pillars (featuring various levels of difficulty) are rewarded with a generous helping of combat XP in the discipline they choose. Be careful, though, it is the Wilderness after all.

They said it wasn't up to our (the players) high standards so they were completely re-working it.

 

 

 

It could be quite a while before it's released... if it's released. They may just decide to scrap the whole idea in the end.

All volcanoes on runescape are active, so I do believe they will be making a new volcano/area for it. Possibly in the wildy, possibly not, only time will tell.

Thats a HUGE leap, given the words have no overlap in meaning.

 

 

 

Any ways, they still said it was a dormant volcano, while all bar the stagnant one on rum death isle in rs are kinda active. They are all pretty much dormant compared to wildy, given that they all just sit there, it spews out rocks constantly

I asked a Jagex Moderator about this, he said that they threw the idea away because it was bad.

 

 

 

But I think at least they could've told us :-s but I'm guessing many would complain on the forums then :P

Maybe Jagex took the basic concepts and put them towards the Bounty Hunter game? Only a guess :|

I'd have hated to have been the staff member to have designed that, had it put in the BTS before having the whole content you've spent ages working on pulled because "it sucked".

BUT i think they scrapped it-BUT KEPT the "Teleport things".. which are those portals through-out wildy-they still came out around the same time wilderness tag was ment to. But im not sure tbh :S
