Personally yes i have been scammed and its very embarrassing as im a cb lvl 77 and was scammed by lvl3.Well anyway this is what happened, i was buying 2000 coal in a rush and this guy requests a trade.I saw what he had and paid him the 400k.Then i relised i paid him 400k for 2000 iron ore. #-o

Guy offfered 700 mage logs, said he wanted 500k, went to get cash but he switched to willows, didn't read 2nd screen :oops:

 

 

 

Moral:read the second screen and don't get scammed

guy said selling full veracs 4.2 mil

 

 

 

it was 100k cheaper everywhere else, so i bought in a hurry. i wore it to see how cool it looked, and kept clicking veracs skirt to make it equip, but it wouldnt. it later turned out i had bought 2 by mistake, without getting the helm

I fell for the "Max hit scam" whatever, call me a nub I don't care, I CANNOT believe I fell for it. I lost a green mask (19m at the time) 3m cash, whip, rune boots and repaired karils. And I think Ranger boots, but it was so long ago, I forgot.

 

 

 

 

 

I've also lost a second green mask to a friend running off, and a robin to a friend running off with it.

sold full rune for 100k (the 1m - 100k scam) saw it coming to

 

 

 

boght nothing for 2m -_- i clicked accept to quickly and he tain away the ship and i didnt notice

I sold a mage comp bow when they first came out for 10004gp instead of 1000kgp before the colour change things

Probably when I was buying 100 cowhides for 10k. I ended up paying 10k for 10 cowhides. :oops:

My very good rs friend ran off with blue & green masks.

 

And I was lured for 210k essence a few weeks before the pure ess update

 

(value before pure ess: 7.5m value after pure ess: 21m)

worst scam for me was probably when the new TT items came out, and i got messed up with the "duo-scam" one guy selling low, other buying high. Don't know why i didn't notice at first, but lost about a million off of it. Hurt me pretty bad at the time.

I haven't really been scammed...I basically managed to pick up on how to identify scams very quickly, The only time I came close to losing something of value is when Full Enchanted Robes used to be roughly 800k.

 

 

 

Ok, So yeah...This was months upon months before the Ditch was ever release, I was selling this Enchanted set I picked up, And I got a rather generous offer for it, I was told that the buyer was training his woodcutting across the Edgeville bridge...I know I should have been more wary but still... :-k

 

 

 

So anyway, I find the guy, Trade him and managed to get dragged out into level one wilderness...I didn't realise I was in the Wilderness at the time, So I click on the guy again...Tagged...Skulled...So I'm skulled in the Wilderness with 800k on my person :wall:

 

 

 

This guy had an Ancient Mage friend with him, The same level as me Ice Bursting me while the "buyer" tried to rip into me with his DDS, One thing I am VERY proud is, Is that I escaped with my Enchanted still in my possession...Gf lurers...Try harder next time. :shame:

 

 

 

So technically, While I have been lured, It was never a success on their part...So does it really count? And seeing as I've never been really scammed either...Ah well, I thought it appropriate to post that little story here...Wow...First time I've actually shared this story, Ever, Well, I must admit I was very lucky for that Ancients Ice Burst freeze to run out so I could get away in time to bank... :pray:

-got lured and killed level 1 wild 1 week b4 the ditch (lost 500k all i had at the time =(. )

 

-got skammed went to buy full veracs at 3.1m was so exited i had saved up for like a month and traded only to realize 20min later that i got black skirt not veracs skirt #-o (lost 400k)

I bough iron baxe instead rune for 35k.... it's not much, but it's the worst scam i every had

A few months ago, I had a green partyhat that I bought for 4m about 3 years ago. They were about 180m at that time when I decided to sell so I went to that spot in World 2 falador where you sell rares. Got paid 58m + 54k nats for my partyhat. This means I lost about 100m in terms of today's pricing, but gained 96m in terms of 3 years ago.

 

 

 

So I'm kinda happy anyway. :)

950k + rune pick - I tried to buy rs membership for rsgp

 

2500 iron 500 coal - got keylogged

 

once bought 300 ess for 90k, 2700 ess less than i wanted...

Back in RSC, I was attempting to buy a santa for 180k (price was around 200k then), so I offered full rune or something... he took away santa at last minute and I accepted.

the worst I ever lost was a guthix pl8 before the trade modified thing came in he put in 1mil and I ended up with 100k

worst scam i ever fell for was ages ago... but some lvl 3 offered me 1 mil for addy (g) n i wasn't concentarting so i went to get helm from bank n traded but he put 1004 gp in stead of 1004k n i didnt check 2nd trade screen coz i was excited that this noob was sooooo dumb but lost addy (g) no biggy

At level 100, I mistaked Abby Whip for Absolutly Nothing.... its was only 2.4M! and they were 2.6 at the time so i rushed.. im such a noob..

Buying 100 cowhides for 100k lol. Don't think he was trying to scam me since it was just my carelessness. Oh well, just laughed at it and wasn't mad. :thumbsup:

this like 21 wanted 2 buy cannon and cballs. i put up 1k cballs and cannon. good deal for 1m lol. he scams me 4 "10k". oh he put up like a bronze pl8 also, and like 2 rune pl8s.

Got teled to death plateau with my 20M+ bank sale. I lost my pumpkin and easter, because I didn't have enough time to drop all the other items.
