What would happen if all the autoers/macroers were all banned for like say, 1 year? Would the whole community die down? Will the Economy be destroyed? Will prices crash worse than the G.E.?

I find that say, if they were all gone, the current price of about 220ea lob would go to like 300ea-400ea, then sharks to like 2k ea.

 

 

 

Jagex may be stopping them but I dont think they are thinking about the cons in the process...

ok, like u said if all boots were banned the economy will naybe crash, but, will maybe be higher, for example, there are 1k bots selling sharks at 700 ea but, lets ban em \ , there are no longer those sharks, and sharks buyers will pay more for em :shock:

Fish

 

Cooking material

but if they all gone, seeing as barely any real person would do that crap for 2 weeks straight, the cost of these raw materials will go Kaboom! And crash, thus having a very bad price crash.. Again.

What makes you think everyone sells at lowest price? If an item really because under-valued players won't keep selling at lowest price and the item will go up.

for noobs bots being banned is a great thing, since ATM they have to work so hard to make money through mining and other F2P skills...but yea for buyers it'll be a downer so you should probably stock up :P (cause its pretty much guaranteed that the price wont go down when the autoers leave)

On the other side, F2P resource gatherers and sellers could do very well, since the lack of autoed logs of all kinds will fuel demand and prices, and there will no longer be competition from an army of alphabet soup level 3's

 

 

 

 

 

In passing there was one other solution mentioned - maybe RS2 could have been continued with traditional wilderness, PKing and whatever, but closed to new signups, and the new "RWT-proof" version could have become RS3 (or RS2.5) - a few sweeps to nuke the BOTS, and long-time players could have continued with the game they knew, just as some diehards remain with RSC.

What shark buyers? You mean all the hordes of... PKers?

As a supplier, I wouldn't mind prices going up. In fact, I want them to.

But, Scourge, if you once had to get things quick, you'd buy?

The people who enjoy gathering skills like fishing and woodcutting are going to be pleased - the ressources they gather will finally be recognized to their true value.

As for myself, I also think prices of raw material will go up. I cannot believe that sane people will pick 10k+ flax. Fishing 10k + is more probable, because fishing gives experience, but picking flax doesn't. Good thing there is something called Manage Thy Kingdom, which can result in large amount of raw material. But this will not cover the demand.

Well yeah, but I'm doing much more supplying than demanding. All I need is a fishing net and a dramen staff to get to piscatoris and I'm a happy seller.

 

 

 

If I HAD to like when I was going for 53 farming for the quest cape and 57 herblore, which I don't do often, then yes I'd buy. No one can survive in runescape just by selling things. But really, I'm not much of a buyer.

I think the Macroers got anything & everything they can get their hands on to sell and make a profit so that they could sell it for US Dollars. Of course they were the majority because hardly anyone in RuneScape would take on those tasks unless they were low level and needed a quick way to get cash.

 

 

 

We were so used to having that system of Macroers gathering all our resources and supplying us as a Community with them that now that they're gone. We don't know how it feels to have an actual player run Market and will be in a short depression for quite some time until it works itself out.

But for many items like Sharks, some of their main uses are gone because of the death of PKing, so it would counteract any price increases due to lack of macroers.
