Brothers copy their older brothers nearly exactly? :P

Featured Replies

I'm the youngest in my family and I don't copy my bro/sis at all.

3 sisters, no brothers. I r unfortunate...

I do know a lot about women thanks to them :D

You think you're unfortunate? I have eight sisters, one brother.

Four of those sisters are related by marriage, as is my brother. Three of my sisters kick [wagon]. The others I love and look out for, but always have the ability to piss me off til I snap.

So... you're doing well, my friend.

Me and my 2 brothers were all alike probably until the eldest (we're all 2 years apart) reached highschoolish. Now we're completely different, atleast in interests, though not as much in personality. I like classic soft rock, my one brother likes alternative rock/punk and the other likes more hardcore, less-mainstream punk. I like video games, one likes working out, and one likes sports. I watch a lot of older movies and more dramas, the other two watch more action movies.

I kinda regret copying for so long. At one point our entire live basically revolved around the computer, now my oldest brother could be called a casual gamer at best, the middle one really likes games but plays a lot of WoW mostly, and I'm the one that basically is still completely addicted. Also, I kinda regret playing hockey for so long (I didn't want to deviate, though in hindsight I wish I would have learned to play an instrument or something).

I think probably the closer together you are, the more likely you are to copy. Within 3-4 years you go through all the same things...When you're 5-10 years difference, what with the older out doing stuff more and partaking in different activities, plus moving out at some point I don't think there is as much copyage.

I could go on forever but it is 2 in the morning and I'm tired  . Basically he's a pompous [wagon] with a cocky attitude that thinks he can be as rebellious as ever, listen to and hang out with punk/rockers, yet be a mama's boy that goes to church faithfully since day 1.

I kind of aspire to be like my brother more than anyone else. I really espect him. I can't say I completely copy him. He's into indie and electronic music. The funny thing is though, that even though he hates metal, he pretty much got me into it in the first place. He's a pretty big athlete, and loves soccer, and although I like soccer, I have the stamina of an 80-year old.

Anyway, we're not really alike, but I kind of try to be like him. If that makes sense.

Cool.

I should add, the only thing my little brother sort of 'copied' from me is my crappy work ethic. I was (and still am) a very lazy student, and he is too. The problem is I cared enough about school to still pull it all together -- he just has seemed to stop really caring.

The more I think of it though the more I see similarities in the two of us. It's funny really, if you would have just looked at us and our likes/dislikes and such side by side you'd never think we could get so along together. I mean, he's a skater kid who's a bit more into the 'cool crowd' where as I'm that gamer nerd who enjoys programming and digital artwork.

If we're hanging out when the family goes to the mall though (we just break off on our own) we get together well, haha.

Really though it seems like a bit of a trend with people here. The younger one kind of takes some stuff from the older, but ends up being totally opposite anyways. :P

Well i know my little brother doesn't copy me but he does look up to me, i only noticed it when my mom said "Your not a good example to your younger siblings.... They look up to you and you aren't too good a role model,"

After that i realised that she was right. They have done a lot of stuff better than me in life like not be such a jackass to people and piss people off for no reason when their bored. So i'm pretty proud they haven't inherited that.

Still i always did wish i had an older brother to look up to. Sounds stupid i know but being the oldest isn't always what its cut out to be. :? Having someone to look up to is great and i'd love to be the younger brother :D.

Thank you 4be2jue for the wonderful sig and avatar!

My younger sister is the exact opposite of me. She identifies more with the Chinese in our blood, and acts upon it, constantly in China town, cooking dim sum, pulling peace signs in every damn picture. Music wise we're opposite also, she likes her electro-house weird trance and indie ish stuff, I'm straight reggae lol. If we weren't related I doubt I would be able to be her friend.

My brother and baby of the family copies me incesently, and it's flippin annoying.

SHH HUT YUH MUH. DERKHED.

yes, my brother copies me exactly and its frustrating because I'm not a good role model at all and I don't want him to be like me.

I'm a twin, with my brother. We don't hate each other, nor do we like each other. He's interested in sports, so am I, just not the same ones. We enjoy the same type of music, but different artists completely. He is more of a dunce then I am. Our grades are different, I have 80s, he has 60s and 70s.

The school we go to, has 1200 kids. In the entire semester this year, I've seen and spoken with him twice at school. At home, I speak to him like every fourth day. I hardly know whats going on with him, except for the fact I'm told by people who are friends with his friends. We have basically different lives. To him, and me, looking at our two lives, we're like two males in two different families.

We have little to nothing in-common. People say that we're just hiding the fact that we do love each other by disliking the other, because most siblings do in fact do that. But to me, I wouldn't be willing to give up my liver, or kidney for him, except for the fact I'm related to him through some DNA. Even though we're both different blood types (we're not the look-a-like twins, we're fortuneral, or however you spell it lol).

He and I feel no connection to each other directly, more like indirectly because we're related.

Maybe we're just weird, but we dislike each other, and we're both fine with it, the only people who aren't are those who hear us say this. -.-

im a younger brother, i hate my older brother, im nothing like him and nor shall i ever be.

my brother put a knife to my throat for fun knowing i have a phobia of knives - when i tell my parents ignore it. i would never put a knife to someone 3 years younger than me - especially if they had a phobia.

my brother stole from my parents - he gets away, grounded for just 2 weeks.i love family too much to steal.

my brother (who isnt old enough to drink) got drunk yesterday and his mates dad had to drive him back here, whilst he knew we had to go to my grandads retirement party, so to look after that passed out peice of [cabbage] god makes me call a brother, we didnt get to go to my grandads party

Haha, I copy my brother's ways of dressing a little bit. That's really it.

When I was like 10-11, my little brother would copy me all the time and it annoyed the hell out of me. Now, I'm 14 and he's 12 and we're still very much alike. Other then our tastes in music, we're probably the same. He's a noob though ::' .

PS: It's 'a lot', not 'allot'.
