We all know some famous RS players because the incredible feats they acomplished over the years, but what exactly do you need to be one? Or simply, is it a label that someone place on you because of your original goals?

 

 

 

Post here to express your opinion on the matter and see what everyone else thinks

 

 

 

This post would refer to famous P2Pers and F2Pers

If you achieve something rare, like Slayerbelle getting the first Untrimmed Slayercape. Slayerbelle > Zezima in my eyes. He has all 99s, who cares, she has the very first Untrimmed Slayercape.

To start things off, I guess at some point in someone's RS adventure, we were all common lvl 3 players, fresh off the tutorial island and into the world of Runescape through Lumbridge.

 

 

 

People start exploring all the possible option that the RS world offers, people start to set up goals for themselves because they see potentials in what they can become.

 

 

 

But as more people start playing, a group of elites start to appear, they stood out as their lvls progress faster then anyone else, and start to gain recognition as the highscore table pulished their accomplishment even more.

 

 

 

But to be defined as one of the best, is it due the amount of xp and lvl 99s you have in total? the number of players you pked in wildy (win vs lost), the first to achieve a skill? (first to smithing 99, craft 99, atk 99, etc), first to get 200mil xp in a single skill, or first to get prayer 99 in F2P? Or simply due to other action thats not related to skills that make people remember you as part of the RS history? Of course, feat can also be bad ones, such as players who abuse the construction bug during 666 events, on world 111. Though such action would be deem as bad, but people remembered those who participate in the act, and they too, become part of the history or RS.

I don't believe in looking up to others because of any simple accomplishement, but Zezima (no matter how often he is called a nerd) is the first ever player to have maxed out all present skills in the game at the time he did it.

 

Slayerbelle, the first player to achieve 99 Slayer as her very first 99 in any skill, that also deserves admiration, and those who have/had RS membership are aware of how difficult that must have been.

He is the only one with 1Bil XP though.

still one slayer cape isn't going to show me more respect for a person considering zezima could easily make a new member and get the first untrimmed summoning cape when it comes out, it really isn't that hard to do, it just takes time and effort. Which, with zezima's stats he had to accomplish a lot more than she did in that time....

This also bring up the parts where what do you have to do to remain at the top.

Could refer to a lot of things, as a matter of perspective.

 

 

 

As some mentioned, game experience and overall is something. Doing something unique is also another, as well as the first person to do something.

Untrimmed slayer cape is only an accomplishment because no one else wants it. Like, 1 99 skill or 5? Most people would chose 5. Congratz to Slayerbelle, but really I don't think its a HUGE accomplishment. It's always nice to be the first to do something but some accomplishments mean more than others.

 

 

 

I'd say when Tip It'ers convinced Jagex not to make the reward for p2p quest to be rune battle axe (because doing so would make smithing useless), making Jagex create drag items, THAT was an accomplishment. The players of RS changed the game.

 

 

 

Or when Bluerose13x dominated the whole of pking and skills because of her monopoly on the highets level armor and weapons, THAT was an accomplishment.

A top Runescape player plays only for what the game is meant for, fun. Very few achieve this completely although some are close.

My eyes must have lied to me.. I'm sure I saw an untrimmed slayer cape long before Slayerbelle got it?..

Slayerbelle is villandras second account, so she also has all 99's.

 

To be honest, highest achievements on rs in my oppinion are:

 

Villandra for untrimmed slayer cape + all 99s maxed on her main acc.

 

My real life mate miles for having #1 def and #1 hp along with 130 million attack xp (imo harder to do then get 1 billion xp via easy skills).

 

And zezima for 1 billion xp total and first to max.

Not for long, Uloveme is around 10-15M xp from 1Bill xp. :wink:

In this case (1B xp vs. untrimmed slayer), it isn't about how many people have achieved it. You have to create a whole new account to get 99 slayer, which is quite a hard thing to do for most people. While for 1B xp, you can just train the account you already have. So 1B xp is psychologically an "easier" goal to aim for. But 1B xp also takes a lot more time. Zezima has been working years to get 1B xp, you can't beat that with a goal completed in 4-5 months, no matter how much you no-life. So in my eyes, the 1B xp is "harder" (well, technically, a trained monkey could do it, but you get the point ;)).

Ok honestly what is so amazing with untrimmed slayer cape. All it means is she PLANNED to do that. Just because someone had too much combat xp to get 99 slayer without any other cape doesnt mean its not as good of an accomplishment. And seriously why would you want an untrimmed slayer cape when you could have it trimmed as well as an hp,att,str, and def cape?

i agree villandra's all 99's and a pure slayer account is impressive, more a display of her love of the slayer skill. of course 1 billion xp is ... also pretty amazing. another top player halw gnun is set to achieve 200 M xp in herblore. i think besides the actual training needed for the achievement the stick to it nivness is what is impressive to me. to have a goal like that and follow through with it is what impresses me. but everyone that plays the game plays their own way and treating people well and having fun doing what you like doing and trying all things is all good. and any achievement someone sets out to get and achieves is a worthy achivement.

villandra did an amazing feat..but tbh no life.

There are many top/old players that have achieved big things.

 

 

 

Two of the ones I personally like the most are Mendark 9 and Syzygy for

 

getting so far in F2p and for being the first to get so far.

What about the people who did what no one in the current top 10 ever managed to do, get 123 combat on rs classic legit, theres about 5 of them, gearshifter and arc druid are the only ones i remember atm.

Trimmed or untrimmed, 99 slayer is a huge achievement. I don't think Slayerbelle got the cape just to be the first to get it, I think she wanted to see if it was possible.

 

 

 

Being some sort of RS legend means you've put in a lot of your own time and work to get where you are. Who cares if they have no lifed or not, they're still one of the greatest players and have probably accomplished a hell of a lot more than you.

I quit and recently started playing again I dont know the difference between Trimmed and untrimmed slayer capes Anyone care to explain?

Trimmed capes

 

If you are one of those persistent people who have reached 99 in more than one skill, you get a special reward. Instead of a plain cape that only has the symbol of your skill, you will get that cape with a coloured trim on its' edges. There is no price difference, and you get the same stats as a normal skill cape except for an additional +4 prayer bonus.

i apluad (sp) slayerbelle on the untrimmed i even told her grats on my acc and she responded :D but thats not the point. she did a amazing thing and if i had half the patience to get a untrimmed hp cape.. i would .. but it might seem imposisble :(
