I don't think it's likely they will give the entire skill to them, probably just like half of it or maybe more. If they do it could work out good for them, people might find out they like the skill and upgrade to members to be able to use all of it. For example, give them fletching but only able to fletch up to maple (max f2p bow i think), or agility but only up to a certain level. Something like that.

You know its not easy to find a credit card in east european country when you dont have 18 years (in my country is 18 not 21 ...)

Yeah, it's also very hard to put 5̢̢̮ââ¬Ã¡Ãâì in an envelope and send it trough mail.

(i hope i got the iidea) and to send it trough mail from europe to usa ... 5 for the game and 50 more to send it
Err moron..

Jagex is based in england, so your sending from europe to europe.

And postage anywhere in the world for a single letter wont cost you over a dollar.

If f2p gets anymore updates I quit.

The only skills I could see that could be made partially F2p are thieving, construction and fletching. Thieving would be easy enough to add, give us the pickpocket option on the peoples and maybe open up the HAM dungeon to us and that's all they would need to do, maybe add paladins or chests and stuff to Varrock and Fally so we would have some higher level things to pickpocket. Construction would be simple as well, we already have two real estate agents and a portal in F2p space and a cap on the number of rooms and what kind of rooms we could build could be easily achieved, the biggest reason I could see Jagex doing this is to drain the F2p economy from even more gold. The last skill that could possibly be converted is Fletching, just give us the ability to make shafts and smith arrow heads and put it all together and there you go nothing hard to do, maybe add the option to make bows but then we would have to buy bowstring/flax from members or they could put a flax field and spinning well in F2p maybe in an area way away from a bank, it would be so hard for F2p to collect and spin flax they would buy it from P2p and the P2p players would get a nice economic boost compared to F2p.

Hunter and summoning are to new to be released to F2p and all the hunter areas are in P2p space. Agility starts at the Gnome stronghold and the only Agility courses I could see being F2p are Brimhaven (Sp) and the Wilderness course which are medium and high level courses so a low level course would have to be put in F2p. Summoning is useless and all the summoning monsters are in members space. Farming is to complex to be F2p plus their are very few farming spots in F2p. Can't remember if missed any other members skills but I don't think I did.

Sorry for double post but I saw this afterwards and don't like to edit.

It would be nice of Jagex to throw f2p a bone, but don't hold your breath!

:shame:

Well Jagex already threw F2p a bone and a nice juicy bone at that compared to what they got last year. Only thing I can think of they got last year that was kinda simi big was the Stronghold Of Security but that place is a forgotten thought now, but this year they get Duel Arena, Bounty Hunter, Clan wars, the Grand Exchange. They get 3 mini games and the exchange, which is why I don't see Jagex throwing them anymore bones any time soon.

I really don't understand why we keep arguing if F2P is going to get a new skill. I think F2P should be happy with what they have and stop trying to milk things for all they are worth.

Either

1. Get a subscription..

2. Stay F2P and be happy with what you have.

I just am sick of hearing about how people that don't pay ...don't get enough...

I am 18 and I pay with my OWN money that I WORK for. It really doesn't cost that much.

Stronghold of Security isn't a forgotten thought at all, for F2P it offers some of the best combat training options. And you really can't say that the Duel Arena, Bounty hunter, and Clan wars were a gift at all; seeing as how they essentially got those as a pitiful compensation for the wilderness that they had. Especially now, go ahead and try to go into Wildy on F2P, the Revenants own you even more so than on P2P.

Really, the only good thing F2P has gotten is the Grand Exchange, which I'll go ahead and admit is nice but it's really not THAT major of an upgrade, seeing as how F2P never seemed to have any trouble selling to P2P members anyway. So there goes your theory of Jagex throwing F2P another bone.

Do you think, Perhaps, that the Black Dragon lives in the Black Dragon Cave!?

I'm a firm believer of typing with proper grammar on the interwebs. Oh yes.

the only thing f2p got from all of this is the 8 bank space nothing more.

People pay rs just because it's simple or jagex programed it in java? ha don't make me laugh. People have no idea how hard it is to program in java. As for an old skill being droped to f2p i highly doubt it. If it does happn it will most likly be whining or con because noobs whine about it so much.

I would give f2p fletching (only up to adamite) because many low leverled players cant afford to buy so many arrows once they get to lvl 25 or higher ranging. With bronze they lvl too slowly...

We'll mossy on down to the Stronghold on F2p and see if anyone is there, I never see anyone their except maybe 2 people in the room with the Ankou. Well I will admit that the three mini-games are compensation for the wilderness they had but the Revenants are weak and easy to avoid, if one attacks you run stupid and if they freeze you wait heal and run when it wears off. And you have to admit that the Grand Exchange is a far cry from the times when thousands of people all stood in Varrock on world one and spammed what they where trading. Once again another bone.

try to find a world with no ppl at the flesh crawlers ... (way better then ankous ... ~25hp , max hit 1 , low def and agressive ...

Edited: People play RuneScape just because it's simple and Jagex programed it in Java? Lol It's not even funny how stupid that is. People have no idea how hard it is to program in Java. As for an old skill being dropped to f2p i highly doubt it. If it does happen it will most likely be construction.

I took out all the stupid part and the parts that made the poster look like a total [wagon].

And what level are Flash Crawlers aren't they like level 34, way to low for me.

There is truth to what you say, and I'm not disagreeing. All that I'm saying is that F2P's not completely undeserving of an update. Not a Members' skill necessarily, but possibly an update to one of their current skills. Like Crafting, or the ability to RC Chaos runes.

You have to send it to the UK

Jagex is uk based.

Also your maths is naff.

Postage of a letter uk to usa is about ̢̮â¬Å¡Ãâã1 - ̢̮â¬Å¡Ãâã2

So from europe it'd be like ̢̮â¬Å¡Ãâã3 at most.

Europe uses the euro and 1 euro is like 79p so thts maybe 4 euros on postage.

Plus I'm 90% sure its not 5 euros for membership

Its $5, ̢̮â¬Å¡Ãâã3.20 and i think its around 4 euroes

Why do P2P seem to find it so necessary to hijack any discussion with their obsessiveness against f2p?

Lcool is only making a point that many people do find it hard to find $5.00 per month.

If you really want to discuss how us freeloaders are so whingy start yet another post about it. The trouble is only the bigots will read it and reply.

So it seems a choice of fletching, thieving or herblore is favorite if this was to ever happen. Its also favourite that it wont happen

Fletching up to maple would work well in f2p, since they can only use up to maple bows anyway. However this means they would need to be able to smith arrowheads as well. But it might bump up the prices of willows and maples, which are at an all time low.

Hmmm....

I need a new siggy, get round to doing it later.

Probably.

I really cant see your reasoning for agility. You're suggesting that the only place to train it will be the Agility Arena? Sorry, but have you tried the Agility Arena at level 1? It would take them 3 hours to get to level 10. There is no way they could get past all the obstacles in time to get a single ticket, so the only exp would be from the obstacles them selfs.

Did you by chance have a few drinks before writing about Desert Treasure? In case you have forgotten (or haven't done the quest), 99.8% of the quest takes place in members areas. Not to mention you have to do SEVEN members quests which include Death Plateau, Troll Stronghold, Waterfall Quest, Priest in Peril, Temple of Ikov, The tourist Trap, and Digsite quest. You must also have 53 thieving, 10 agility, 10 herblore, 10 slayer, and 10 fletching.

Now tell me how you think the DT will become an F2P quest.

3 Hours?

Let's make F2P suffer for their newly accquired skill.

The dude who created this topic really didn't think it out all the way.

It's really not hard to gather 5 bucks in a month to become F2P.

No, I don't think so. Jagex wants people to go members, not to keep being F2P.

But sure it would be nice if F2P got some new skills...

lGxorje.png

Add me if you so wish: SwreeTak

i believe that if they do make a skill f2p that it will be con, and definatly not herby. 1.Herblore raises stats and some of the potions that you make raise member skills.2. Places Members go for herbs/seconds would have to become at least partally f2p. Such as Chaos druids at taverly or edge. 3. Construction would be easiest. But not very, afterall, keldagrim is where you get the most expensive materials and that would have to be moved. 4. Theving is another possiblity, but they would have to move around stalls and pickpocketers. This seems possible as they dont have to offer accsesto every part of the skill, such as pp.

I'm not against giving them another bone but merely saying they should be grateful for what they have gotten so far, and allowing them an addition to a current skill wouldn't be all that bad.
