December 29, 200718 yr I think the emoticon count per post should be increased. Blogscape is one sections that would definitely appreciate this update as some sentences just need one at the middle/end to make them get there point across, peoples blogs have soo much writing that they require more emoticons, yet they can't have them. Note: I do not wish to add more emoticons, just more per post Thanks! Captainkidd

December 30, 200718 yr Author Emoticons can't be added to specific boards only; they apply to all. So if we add any of them, they'll be on all boards.Oh... :uhh: However, if you have suggestions for Emoticons, if you post them, an Admin can probably review them and determine whether they're necessary or useful.I don't want new emoticons, just more on a single post... As for the 'Guide' with links of picture of the emoticons...can I make it?
December 30, 200718 yr Happiness: :D Laughter:  Love: Luckiness: =P~ 8-) Scared/Fear: :uhh: :ohnoes: Sarcasm: Yes this may be one that's needed. Points to OT. Jealous: You can have every basic emotion with the current smiles. Don't need more. And from your above post, are you saying more emotions per post? :-s Also, if you want new emotions, get the emotions yourself, and then present them, asking why, they would be good, and help the poster, as an admin will probably decide yes, or no. Then again you got some hard competition.
December 30, 200718 yr The only thing he is trying to get across right now is having the ability to have more than 10 emoticons per post. I'm for upping the limit to 20, 30, or more - there's no reason for having it be so restrictive just to prevent some random spam post. I personally think there is no need to have so many emoticons per post... but I know people get hit by the limit when they quote someone or whatnot. I've seen a handful of complaints about it just on random threads throughout the boards... so it would be nice if that restriction was loosened up a bit. I see no argument for it from a user OR staff perspective - either way, a problem post can be removed easily.. and the limit will still be in place to "defend" against huge spam posts that don't load.
December 30, 200718 yr On a similarly related subject, a new user-designed emote might be a good subject of a rank contest :P Last.fm Signature Overlays
December 30, 200718 yr I've only gotten hit by the limit when quoting several people, but I have nothing against it. People can spam just as easily with letters or numbers. December 30, 200718 yr I agree that the limit should/could be raised. Back when I was maintaining my blog in BlogScape, I was constantly going over the emoticon limit. I see no harm in raising it :D During my time as a moderator, I have rarely seen people abuse smilies. I have more often seen people abuse letters or numbers to stretch out the page. - 99 fletching | 99 thieving | 99 construction | 99 herblore | 99 smithing | 99 woodcutting - - 99 runecrafting - 99 prayer - 125 combat - 95 farming - - Blog - DeviantART - Book Reviews & Blog

December 30, 200718 yr Ah. Now I understand. I didn't realize that our boards placed an emoticon limit in count, not in what there is. I had never experienced this because I rarely ever used more than 2 or 3 emoticons per post. Although I do think we still need a better *Facepalm* emoticon... #-o just doesn't cut it. Perhaps this: don't worry, you are going to "hell" anyway. wanna race to see who gets there first?Officially reached 100 Combat at 1:33PM EST, June 14, 2007First Dragon Drop: Dragon Chain (Dust Devils) @ 10:48PM EST, July 14, 2008, lv113 combat
December 30, 200718 yr Although I do think we still need a better *Facepalm* emoticon... #-o just doesn't cut it. Perhaps this: Except the current one looks 10x better, even if the second one brings the actual emotion out more.

Perhaps this: If we do add more they should be the same style, you can tell that is diffrent from #-o and :) you can tell they are from different sets. And I'm all for more emotions per post. I've tried to copy chat logs places a few times and whenever someone in chat goes :P or :) they turn to forum smilies like :P and :) when that happens you have to go through the log and find where people did those and delete them, annoying.
