It's totally green. Granted, a yellowy green, but still green.

Dreaming of that face again

It's bright, and blue, and shimmering

Grinning wide

And comforting me with it's three warm and wild eyes

Green. Whoever says otherwise is colour blind.

Pffft. Tennis balls are most definately yellow. A greenish yellow, but primarily yellow.

yep, its green for sure, ive been playing tennis for years, and they were always green. To prove it 100% to your friends, buy a low-compression tennis ball, they are a pure green not the yellow-green you see on regular tennis balls.

Lol they are green :)

Professional and high quality tennis balls are yellow. Less professional and less good quality tennis balls are green. This is just what I've noticed. Which are you asking for? I would say the correct colour is yellow.

Ok let me explain. I'm assuming you know how to play tennis. When you hit the ball and you suck, you just sorta smack it, however when the pro's hit it you here this "thump". With a low-compression tennis ball, almost any amuteur tennis player can make that "thump" sound, which means its much easier to play tennis. (don't ask, whenever you hear the "thump" that means that was a good hit)

As specified on the International Tennis Federation's website, the rules of tennis (direct link to pdf - 1.6 megs) state that:

The ball shall have a uniform outer surface consisting of a fabric cover and shall be white or yellow in colour. If there are any seams they shall be stitchless.
(Appendix I, part a. Found on Page 18, which is the 21st sheet of the document.)

If the above post looks green to you, you need to get your eyes checked.

yellow

How does a profession differ from an occupation?

The tennis ball is yellow, and the tennis court is green. They are different so they can see if the ball is in or not. They are obviously yellow.

Most balls I've seen are green. And not all courts are green. Clay courts are red, and green balls would contrast very nicely ;)

I think the bottom line is that tennis balls are whatever color the manufacturers wanted to make them in.

You have both. You have a flat yellow one, and a flashy green one, for beach tennis sets you even have pink ones.

Wow ummmm that quote and pic really proved you wrong... Maybe you are the colour blind one? ;)

They are yellow for professional games but it all depends on the ball some are more green some are completely yellow...

Also do you HAVE to write in dark blue... Do you know how hard that is to read on subblack?

Most balls I've seen are green.
 srry, im really perverted....

Anyways, iknow not to say yellowish green and what not, but i swear even the yellow ones are still green.... NEON GREEN

Well I'm not a pro, so to me tennis balls are green. The tennis balls I buy are green, never used a yellow one because I've seen some "dollar store" versions, which look disgusting, and if my tennis ball is ever yellow, its because I left it out in the sun while wet.

I would post a pic, but they're all jpegs. I'm too lazy to save image, open it in paint, save as png, and upload again. Forget that.

Well, depends on the ball, there isn't just 1 type of tennis ball. I'll say green though.
