If like in this case the background is blue it looks greenish (see bottom of tennis ball) If the light or background is more reddish then the ball will seem orangey. You can buy proper green and orange balls but most of the time they are actually yellow and merely look slightly tinted. Which is probably why they appear green to me, as I've only ever played on green clay courts. Though I would agree, they are yellow. You're saying where you live, its the opposite. I have bad eyesight and yellow is an easily distinguishable (sp?) colour. Lvl 80 construction. Tennis balls that are florescent tend to reflect a lot of this blue light, hence the greenish appearance. It is indeed yellow.
