Well, I'm just curious to find out if you people like them or not, considering I see a ton of people walking around with their dogs.

 

 

 

I personally love the update of summoning pets, but I can only get a dog, but I don't care...

 

 

 

I know the dragon at 99 looks cool, and some of the other pets are neat.

 

 

 

So how about you? I walk around almost everywhere with my dog, and a piece of raw meat or two, and I feed it every 1 or 2% growth.

I thing the dog look pretty cool :) they have done a good job on the graphics, but I am not getting one just yet..... but one day.

 

 

 

To me cats always seemed a bit odd to have following around, sure they might follow you to the end of a wall, but all over?

It seems pretty cool but I lost my 50% growth puppy when I died :cry:

 

 

 

Just wondering wether these animals will have some sort of function besides looking cool.

I'm waiting till level 30, then I get a penguin. I'm hoping to have a guthix bird eventually.

Personally, I can't say. Seeing as how I'm f2p and all, but if I could do Summoning, I'd love a dog. It sounds awesome.

I think pets were the best part of the update. I can't see any major flaw with them at all.

Well I think the pets are awesome. :D

 

Just the fact that you have to feed them when there adults I hear.. :(

 

Also when you summon Familiars you lose summoning points.. I think the familiars are pointless, you have to make the scrolls, the first few low level ones don't hit anyway.. I gave up at 5 Summoning :thumbsup:

I wish Guthix had gotten the owl even though I dont plan on 70 summoning for a VERY long time. But I like owls and guthix. I want a penguin, I seem to have a thing for black and white animals (penguins, killer whale [orcid], panda bear, border collie [have 2 and 1 patial colliue mix], but I hate zebras [guess I dont like stripes except siberian tigers]).

 

 

 

The pets are ok if over all kinda useless. I wish that they were like cats which dont reqire you to carry food around with you for eternity.

I like them, although I don't have any yet... I'm gonna hold on summoning for a bit, just because (although I might change my mind :uhh: )

 

 

 

On the food basis though, dogs eat more than cats. Cats are smarter eaters - they eat some and space it out to last them. Dogs inhale food, and starve a day later. 'Nuff said.

I don't like the idea of feeding them when they're adults, too. :( I got a lovely Labrador named Roxy and she is currently at about 8% I have to go kill some more cows, because I can't feed her. If I had more beef already she would probably be at 30% or more. I also have a kitten named Sophie. Got her today for Icthlarin's Little Helper. :)

You could just buy meat from Canifis, if you don't feel like killing cows.

My only real gripe with dogs is I wish you could do more with them.

 

 

 

I like the new interface at least. It gives you a real good idea of how long it'll take for your pet to grow and you don't feel as obligated to feed your pet constantly in fear that it might run off if you miss the pop up messages.

 

 

 

My dog might be full grown as early as Friday, maybe even tomorrow.

at the cost of feeding them forever I think they should give some kind of stat boost once they're grown.

 

 

 

Who knows? We still have a quest to look forward to don't we?

If you think about it it makes sense to always have to feed your dog. Cats can go off at any time to kill a mouse, dogs can't. And irl when your dog turns 1 or 2 or w/e do you just stop having to feed it? no #-o
