Or in other words, you are an absolute cretin.
Nadril
What metal have you tried listening to? I find It's usually hard to find vantage point into, but rewarding if you do get to enjoying it. There's just too much terrible bands that people end up wasting their time. :( I must say that I haven't listented to a lot of things. The 'family friendly' stuff doesn't really interest me. And the more 'brutal' stuff just doesn't really appeal to me; I can't really take it very serious, but I don't think it's funny either. Some things that do appeal to me are Crowbar, Sunn O))), Mastodon. Totally missed this post. Dann, I think you would enjoy Jesu. A mixture of industrial and Drone, they're a really damn talented group.

Nadril
Yaff, you realize that if you're going to listen to pretty much any type of metal it's easier to say "metal" than just to list out a whole bunch of [cabbage]. Makes you look like a tool otherwise.

I'm not attacking you, just inquiring so I might be able to make more recommendations. At the moment some bands you might like are Isis, Cult of Luna, The Dillinger Escape Plan, and maybe My Dying Bride or Katatonia. Moreso the first three though. Cool. An album I do invite you to try is Hvis Lyset Tar Oss by Burzum, it has Varg's shrieks and whatnot, but is hardly brutal.
Kalphite
I like stuff from most genres of metal that I've listened to, as well as most rock that I've heard. I generally do not listen to rap, but I've found some underground stuff. I've been trying to get into electronica, but I don't know where to start now that my recommendations post is gone.
