August 5, 200817 yr What? that I like bands that don't suck and aren't wannabe satanists? Care to explain what a "wannabe Satanist" is? I think you either are or you're not... :| Sure. Infact im so good I can explain it in 3 words! Lamb of god. BR BR BR? HUEHUEHEUEHUE
August 5, 200817 yr You should not be prejudice to disturbed and soad fans just because of that ignorant idiot.. I definitely get your point, but I'm classifying him as saying that those are the best bands of all time. It's like me with Slipknot. Yes I like them, but I'm not the 14 year old fanboy who likes nothing but Slipknot. I hope you can see what I'm trying to convey and I mean it nothing personal against you. August 5, 200817 yr Sure. Infact im so good I can explain it in 3 words! Lamb of god. Well since Lamb of God is indeed NOT satanic, your point is moot. [hide=John Campbell of Lamb of God]You guys also have the re-release of the Burn The Priest record? JC: Yeah, weve also got the DVD coming out; I keep getting the dates mixed up. March is the Burn The Priest and it will be released with some footage from the upcoming DVD. The disc has been remixed and remastered, its [bleep]ing amazing that a major label, Epic Records, is putting out a release thats self-titled Burn The Priest. Who woulda thunk? When we changed our name from Burn The Priest it was because we were being pigeonholed as oh, another satanic metal band. Were not satanic, sure we love metal and who in metal doesnt have some love for Satan (laughs)? Were not a satanic band and then, on this tour, we get out to L.A. and weve been banned from playing because we used to be called Burn The Priest. They assumed from that, that we lyrically spoke against religion. [bleep]ed up as it is, its amazing because it got us [cabbage]-tons of press and we are going and doing a headlining show instead and its already sold out. The way the business works, when you headline you make more money and when you are support, you dont. So they pushed us into a situation where we have to go make more money and play in front of more of just our fans. CNN.com carried the story, the New York Times carried it; more people heard about us because we were banned than if they had just kept their mouth shut and let us play the show. August 5, 200817 yr ok so this is it, im going to end with this pointless argument. Mlbfan13, THIS IS SATANISM. unless you read it, shut up. Why even try with that idiot? Honestly, there is no point whatsoever. I'd get better replies if I argued with a tree stump.

August 5, 200817 yr So..that doesnt change the fact that they are overrated Well, I guess that may be your opinion and you're certainly entitled to it, but I'm sure not trusting any opinion of yours after the past 2 pages of fail you posted :| "He could climb to it, if he climbed alone, and once there he could suck on the pap of life, gulp down the incomparable milk of wonder."

August 5, 200817 yr I think Lamb of God is more underated the overated, but thats death metal as a whole. 99 Hunter - November 1st, 200899 Cooking -July 22nd, 200999 Firemaking - July 29th, 201099 Fletching - December 30th, 2010
August 5, 200817 yr I think Lamb of God is more underated the overated, but thats death metal as a whole. I agree, but I wouldn't necessarily label them as "death metal" (although I will give you that they do have SOME traits of that), but more as Groove Metal due to the unique drumming style that Chris Adler uses. August 5, 200817 yr Lamb of god is ok but I don't think they're great. Strapping Young Lad is miles above them. :) IIRC Lamb of God got a lot of inspiration from SYL.
August 5, 200817 yr Lamb of god is ok but I don't think they're great. Strapping Young Lad is miles above them. :) IIRC Lamb of God got a lot of inspiration from SYL. Devin Townsend is a metal GOD. It's really a shame he retired from touring. "He could climb to it, if he climbed alone, and once there he could suck on the pap of life, gulp down the incomparable milk of wonder."
August 5, 200817 yr People like different types of music, this does not give you the right to insult that person. If anyone from this point on in this thread insults another person due to their taste in music or says they don't like a band just to try and wind up another user. The posts will be removed and the users involved warned. Thanks - Dark Dude 98 - Tip.It Super Moderator

August 5, 200817 yr Nirvana was the most influential band ever so deal with it there is no most overrated band just rap rap is waaaaaaay more overrated than anything else In before Nirvana. *Plays Uber-Guitar Solo while you stand in awe*
August 5, 200817 yr Tokio hotel is freaking overrated! Linkin park is a bit bfmv is just another bunch of headbanging,screaming,monkeys...... I'm not going to bash you on BFMV, just going to tell you that they have melodic vocals in most of their songs (I think Matt Tucks voice is awesome). ;) I think Death Cab For Cutie is over-rated. ;) And while I do think Nirvana is over-rated I still enjoy their music.
August 5, 200817 yr Nirvana was the most influential band ever so deal with it There are SO many artists that were/are so much more influential than them. Nirvana were the best Grunge band out there, but to be honest, any influence they have on the music world to day is quite small. I'm finding it difficult to think of many good bands that actually took significant inspiration from them. Cool.
August 5, 200817 yr Nirvana were the best Grunge band out there Nah, that would be Pearl Jam or Smashing Pumpkins, or maybe Soundgarden.
August 5, 200817 yr Soundgarden. I really hate the sound of Chris Cornell's voice, but damn, that dude has an AMAZING range for a guy. I have to give some respect for that.
