Fact: After that bianca scene, I've never ever entered the musical building ever again until two days ago, when I found echoed voice TM in there.

What the heck is even going on in that comic o_O Why's the guy dressed up like that haha.

In real life MMO you don't get 99 smithing by making endless bronze daggers.

Heh, a friend put this up on Facebook, I thought it was funny.

Restarted my White file as well, gotta have something to do over a road trip and I haven't touched the game in months, so it'll be fun and I can't miss what I don't remember I had.icon_e_wink.gif

After about 10 years, I finally got a new Pokémon game :P

Just bought Heart Gold :)

EDIT: Anyone able to help me? I want all 3 starters :P

priest_wiz.png

I'm having trouble finding out what EVs (effort values) are? If defeating a certain type of pokemon that has high attack, will my EV for attack go up or something?

SO CONFUSING! :wall:

I already know what IVs (Individual values) are. I think it basically means a pokemon's potential of having either high or low stats. Completely random, but I think Shinies always has high IVs.

I have a Serperior that can breed Snivy and trade that if you want. If you have the water or fire starter, I would appreciate that too.

@ MrGreens: I might be interested in Chikorita or Cyndaquil, but is there anything you want in return?

Shinies have random IVs. Other than that, pretty much right. Both EVs and IVs screw with your Pokemon's stat growths.

Every Pokemon has a set EV yield, ranging from 1 to 3 total, usually in its highest stats. So, something like Litwick would give +1 Sp.A, while Swalot would give +2 HP. Every 4 EVS is one extra point in that stat, with a cap of 510 EVs across all stats and 255 in any individual stat. Vitamins add +10 EVs to a stat, Pokerus doubles the amount of IVs you get from a battle, as does the macho brace (So, Litwick would give +2 with just one, and +4 with both), while power items add +4 in whatever their stat is (Power lens adds +4 Sp.A, regardless of the Pokemon's EV yield. So Swalot would give +2 HP/+4 Sp.A). With Pokerus and a power item, something that would normally give +1 EVs would give +10.

Bulbapedia has a list of Pokemon by IV yield, for reference. Find something with the stat you want that you can easily farm and you're good to go.

Last thing to note is that EVs stop having an effect after 252, so your stat will max at +64 at level 100.

^ I always thought IVs cannot be changed. :-? Or you might have made a mistake and meant to say EVs.

Does it matter if I use EV boosts like vitamins or wings on a low level pokemon? I have a lvl 1 growlithe

with a good nature, ability, and IV so would it be ok if I cap growlithe's EV to 252 in attack and speed at level 1?

Yep. And my mistake :-P

My friend code for Pokemon White is: 0046 4204 6703.

I'll be available pretty much for the next 6 hours before I sleep.

Hi there. Anyone with B/W have a male Chimecho they're willing to lend? I need it to breed a move.

EDIT: Forget it. I'll catch my own.

My online and battle subway single team is salamence, volcarona and ferrothorn. If i have to i can give movesets and natures etc.

I need to replace volcarona with something as my team has a weakness to fire as i got sweeped by a typhlosion

SUPER.gif

Salamence is already resistent to fire.

Volcarona's neutral against fire too, or am I missing something?

Volcarona is a mixture of fire and bug type.

Bug is weak against fire so the damage is doubled if said pokemon was only a bug type.

Fire is resistant to fire so the damage is halved if said pokemon was only a fire type.

2 x 1/2 = 1. Volcarona would take full damage to fire type moves so you're right. This rule doesn't always apply if Pokemon

have abilities that can counter certain types. (Pokemon with levitate is impervious to ground moves)
