That something, somewhere, is watching me, studying my every move, my every thought. Especially strong when I'm around ducks...have you ever seen the little buggers? The way they stare....creepy. Other than that, nothing I can think of.

Excellent, now I'll prepare an army of ducks! Captain, set course for the duck world!

You, sir, should not visit Iowa nor spend long periods of time with me. When I see those dark (almost black) clouds rolling in, those crazy gusts of wind picking up, and the rain/hail pouring down so hard it hurts.. I open up the doors and keep my eyes peeled for that amazing sight. I've managed to catch glimses of funnel clouds and a tornado beginning to drop but, unfortunately, never a tornado in destruction mode :(

I'm quite like you. I love tornados and storms. I've always wanted to see or be near one.

I live in Iowa as well, but we havn't had any tornados come near our farm in a good 5-6 years. The closest one recently was during the tornado outbreak, but that was about 15 miles away, and it roped out before we could even see it -.-

Where do you live in Iowa? I'm in Cedar Rapids so we don't get a whole lot here besides the nasty storms. For college I want to go to the University of Iowa and Iowa City always seems to get a lot of damage

I live in northwest Iowa, south of Spencer. I think that's where the outbreak spawned the most tornados, isn't it? In that general area.

I have a phobia of period blood.

I just can't stand the idea of it, makes me sick. My one weakness.

I have that :( it's horrible. probably more mildly than you do though

Astrophobia- Fear of stars or celestial space. I definitely have that, hate looking at pictures of planets or whatever, really creeps me out :s

And I very often dream I'm jumping down from a short distance, say a table or a garden fence, and I keep falling but never hit the ground, I find that really scary but I dunno if there's a name for it.

Killer Dollaphobia \'

You mean Pediophobia, the fear of dolls? Or Crometophobia, the fear of money?

I'm pretty claustrophobic, it's gotten to a point where I refuse to use a elevator, no matter how big the building is. Luckily for me in Ireland the average building is no more than 6 stories high and the exercise does add up ::'

I forgot I'm terrified of elevators. Won't go in them if there are stairs as an option. I'm always afraid I'll get stuck or it will break and I'll fall and die or like I won't be paying attention when the doors open, and the elevator won't be there and I'll fall to the bottom (that or the elevator takes off too fast and I lose an arm)...Really rather irrational but eh, its something that's plauged me for a long time.

So many people seem to be afraid of spiders here lol, glad I'm not the only one.

warren, a phobia is defined as "a persistent, irrational fear of a specific object, activity, or situation that leads to a compelling desire to avoid it. " (thanks to dictionary.reference.com). The comment about the spiders isn't true. Just because I'm afraid of them doesn't mean that if one was crawling on my desk, I wouldn't attempt to kill it (especially since I have a heavy stapler and a tape dispenser right next to me). A daddy long legs isn't going to eat me, but I still cringe whenever I see them, and attempt to work as far away from them as possible (somtimes its unavoidable, like in a bathroom and there is no other restroom nearby, but other times, like if I'm asked to get something out of the garage and they are there, I have my mom or dad do it, or a friend lol). Oh, and you insensitive bastard! (just kidding ^.^)

D Jay99, I'll have to agree with the fear of death thing. It doesn't make sense to me. One day, the [cabbage] is going to hit the fan and you're done. It's inevitable. At least you can avoid flying or you can spray bug spray to kill the bugs, but you can't avoid death. You really can't control it either (except for suicide, but meh, that's another discussion)...I don't know, but there are people who are, well, deathly afraid of death. I, for one, couldn't care less. If I die, either it was my own damn fault or there was some reason for it (be it a God saying my time is up or whatever).

Oh, and fgfuyfyuiuy0, I wasn't trying to make fun of you, I was just trying to figure out how it worked. Guess I wasn't thinking too hard about it because its blatantly obvious now. Thanks for explaining it and sorry if you thought I was trying to be mean. Now if someone would just explain arachibutyrophobia (fear of peanut butter getting stuck to the roof of your mouth....).

[hide=Funny Quotes]

So you sucker punched a kid in the back of the head? Good job.
What scares me is that you're like 10 years old.
-.- im not that freaking young
You were a couple years ago.
It's not racist if its true.
Hmm... I wonder how one goes about throwing someone out a window in a mystic fashion :-k

The mental image for that is freaking awesome.

Arachnophobia. I don't know why, but I just dislike the way they move around. It makes them look so agile and unpredictable that it's scary. You never know where they're going next.

I don't have a bad case of it though. I just try to stay away from a spider if I see one.

spiders (and generally most things with 6+ legs, mostly bees, large bugs, and spiders though)

can't really think of others atm. nothing i would really consider a phobia.

i dont know if it qualifies as a phobia but maggots freak me out bigtime.

when it was really hot, a fly must have laid eggs in the trash, and i saw some maggots crawling up the wall. freaked me out. the trash was only a couple days old so i wasnt expecting that.

not really a phobia but 2 lane roads are a little aggravating; if sojmeone's tire were to blow they might come into my lane and hit me headon; so kind of a fear involved with long straight stretches of two lane roads; especially hilly 1's and never know if some road rage freak is going to try to pass a car and come into my lane and hit me headon.

I just thought of this one...

This just happend last year actually. Where we live, there is huge breakout of ladybugs in july to august, one day when i woke up i noticed they where bad outside. I though nothing of it, but as soon as i went into my kitchen... i instanly froze. I looked up on the celing, and there was hundreds of ladybugs in my house. I started to freak out, i could not help it. It got so bad that if i had to eat, i went outside to my uncles house and ate there.

I know its stupid, but for some reason, that got to me... and wher ever i see anykind of bugs in swarms, i freak out...

Lol our tree outside was covered by Boxelders for the past 2 years in a row(We finally got them last year with soap :wall:,no poisons worked until someone told me about soap water.). The whole tree and sunny side of my house was completely red. Blood Red .

My fear was once tornadoes because of a dream where it was coming to me while I was in the kitchen :?. Then I had another dream a few years later with me surviving one so no fear \'.

Next I had a dream of being in a glass mall a few months later. There was no solid floor what so ever and it stretched down to what seemed infinity. Then before I woke some old lady dropped her purse and shattered it. I literally fell out of my bed #-o.

Hahaha :P, i think it makes everyone sick mate.

I wouldn't say i have a phobia for spiders, i just dislike them tbh, so lets say i have a very small case off arachnophobia :P.

Some people dream of success, while others make it happen.

My dad has arachnophobia, it's not too bad but it's really something to watch. Once, we were canoeing and decided to take a break on land, not at the port, just the woods. So we beach the canoe, , and we're securing it with some big sticks when he sees some little things jumping around. They were spiders. He freaks out and jumps right back into the boat, pushes straight out. I barely had time to get back in and we almost tipped.

I used to be afraid of needles but pssh after my tattoos and the amount of things I've had [puncture] in to my arm in the last 6 months, it doesn't phase me anymore.

My only phobia at the moment is my son. I hope I'm going to be a good mum and what not.

The only people who tell you that you can't do something are those who have already given up on their own dreams so feel the need to discourage yours.

I remember we Discussed this in Science, apperantly Soap (or detergent) strips the Waxy Substance on insects Exoskelton killing them quickly, so Soap is Toxic to Insects with Exoskeletons (wich is all of them).

Wongton is better than me in anyway~~
