I am looking forward to the Wii Speak feature. Hopefully we will be able to use it with all multiplayer games, not just new games that are coming out. It will make super smash bros brawl matches so much better.

Right now I'm watching the Sony conference.

It may be my inner fanboy, but it sure looks like Nintendo has the most surprises in store. And those that have said "Eh, Brawl and Mario Kart came out, no more good games for the Wii", well...Might want to rethink that.

Wii Speak looks like it'll help Wifi on the Wii catch up the online of 360s and PS3s, Wii Music and Wii Sports Resort are definitely going to be more hits among casual gamers, and the new Animal Crossing looks quite good, though I haven't really played any of the past ones.

However, like Skate said, not really anything for hardcore gamers...Typical Nintendo, I guess. Though they might be saving it for upcoming days...Hopefully...

I personally think Microsoft is using that new interface seriously to be more like the Wii...After noticing the Wii's success, they want to have success too, with their 360. It may or may not work, probably won't...

And the Lord of the Rings: Conquest looks awesome...This is definitely my fanboyness screaming out, but whatever, sounds like a great game. And the fact that they're using the epic music from the movies is awesome.

Right now I'm watching the Sony conference.

Same, so far it's looking pretty decent compared to the previous conferences. But it's my personal taste. Sony is presenting a lot better (I'm disregarding what they are presenting and how they present it) than how MS or EA, or Nintendo presented. I don't know why but it just seems far more entertaining.

Don't know if I'm over-hyping it or not, but I'm enjoying this conference a lot more than the others, I hope they keep it up through-out the rest of it.

This is just for the conferences and how they are presented, not what they are presenting.

Aside from the GTA:DS anouncement nothing even remotely excited me about the nintendo announcements.

The Wii Music looks really silly to be honest. It's not based off of Rhythm or anything so I have no idea whats going to be the point of it.

Although they are finally getting a mic of some sort for the Wii. Only took them a few years.

The mike is gonna sit on top of the T.V. by the reciever so that "everyone" can talk into it. It won't be that great if you are far back, you might have to move it around a lot. Too bad they arn't making a wireless headset for it.

The point? Let's think of 'Soccer Mom's' protecting their children from the indecent games. Think of seven year olds playing together @ daycare. Think of Treehouse combined with Nintendo. There's their point of these games. Also let's not forget that they want these games played in parties, and not by single-players.

"Social Gaming isn't compatible with hardcore gamers." >.>

EDIT: Uh oh, looks like Sony is now entering their social gaming part of the conference...

At least it looks realistic and not fluffed up like M$ and Nintendo's...

The Nintendo presentation was quite funny at times, even if it was rehearsed. Animal Crossing looks pretty interesting, and the Wii Motion just looks like an over-hyped accessory that brings the Wii Remote up to what Nintendo wanted it to be like on release.

Can you imagine how much money they've made off suckers from making accessories? They're swimming in money

"For things like the really expansive battles like Pelennor Fields, we really kind of needed enough space to be able to play with all the toys you have access to. You're going to be fighting Oliphants and these massive siege towers and you're riding around on horses at top speed, so we needed to make these maps really extensive the entire time."

Sony's conference was the best imo. They showed a number of games I want to play. Nintendo... Not so much :S.

E3 isn't over yet though, so we'll have to wait and see if there'll be any more big announcements.

The MAG idea sony was talking about sounded interesting. Nearly sounded like a small scale MMO to be honest (256 players at once).

Of course it may be hard getting those kind of numbers organized.

It would be hard if they weren't auto-grouped like it sounded like.

It sounded like you would pick your type of character (infantry, air, tank driver, turret operator...etc), then you'd be grouped into a squad (if necessary), with a pre-selected chain of command.

So as long as you know the rules & know the battlefield, it's basically up to your squad to maneuver however you like.

Integrate voice, pre-made player-made battleplans (that are entirely executed by everyone, and nobody is bound to it), you've got an extremely awesome game.

Or so what I think will come from this game. I might just buy a PS3 because of it.

Also, I wouldn't call it an MMO, perhaps a MMOFPS would be better...But anyways this MAG is what put Sony's conference content at #1.

So far I'm enjoying Sony the most.

Microsoft's presentation was one of the worst ever. The avatars are raped straight from Miis & Home. They even look like Miis with their cartoony style. The only saving graces were GOW3 and FF13 being on 360. Its a pity seen as ff13 could have been a whole lot better on Blue ray. Well I suppose it still might be, the 360 version might be a cheap multi-disc port. Square Enix is a [bleep] who'll do anything for money, I wouldnt be surprised.

Nintendo's wasnt great either, the wii music looks pretty mediocre. GTA DS might be interesting.

I think in the next few days, Sony should be focusing on the hardcore gamers -- Microsoft and Nintendo are both showcasing "casual gamer" games/accessories and it seems that the not-so-casual gamer community isn't exactly liking it. It'd be nice to be seeing real games rather than Wii Sports 2.0 and 1v100.. lol

Wii Music was entertaining. Too bad it wasn't entertaining in a good way.

I can see this happening:

M$ & Nintendo expanding into the casual gaming area up until 2020, continuing to ignore their veteran or hardcore gamers. Sony producing more complex and user satisfying 'hardcore' games. Sony becomes the company for the 'elitist gaming community', while M$ and Nintendo are referred to as the carebear companies.

I really think M$ and Nintendo ignoring their veteran gamers is going to cause tons of people to buy the PS3 for the 'real' games. Especially with this new 80G and MAG thing coming. Sony really looks like it's exploring new grounds that players are wanting, unlike M$ and Nintendo who are wondering how to make Billions from the soccer mom type families. Nintendo reminds me of leapfrog, while Microsoft reminds me of YTV. Sony is like CTV. Lol...

After watching the Nintendo conference today, I was somewhat disappointed by the lack of new game titles. The new motion thing for the controller does look promising. The new GTA game for the DS sounds interesting, I can't wait to see how that turns out. It seemed from the DS presentation that Nintendo is looking to try and link the DS into everyday life. But with the lack of new stuff aimed at veteran gamers for the Wii I might be trading mine in soon.

The Sony presentation was to me the best out of all three. They got me even more excited for Little Big Planet, MAG looks amazing (if it works), God of War 3, and all the new PSN titles like new the Ratchet and Clank game. For me the Sony presentation delivered more to veteran gamers then social gamers.

Question, has the Xbox interface update (shown on page 2) already been implemented?

Nah, don't think so. I was on this morning to DL the Too Human demo and it was the same as before.

Btw, Too Human looks awesome. I played through some of the demo and this game is going to be a must buy for me. The combat system was pretty cool and very fun to play. Online co-op will be sweet too. Has anyone else tried it yet?

Ubisoft was kind of boring compared to Sony's...Lol.

'I Am Alive' looks like a decent game, even though there was no show of gameplay. But it's Ubisoft, it's probably very well done. Other than the 'Girlz' bit, average conference.

...With the White Rider theme playing in the background? =P~

Sony's was by far the best, looks like this is the comeback of the PS3 that we've been waiting for. Now it looks like it can catch up to the Wii, and the 360 is probably going to be left in the dust. Originally, I was planning to get a 360 sometime, but I think that's going to change.

And the reason Nintendo is releasing more things like Wii Music and Wii Sports 2 is because appealing to casual gamers has been successful. I mean, look at how many people have bought Wiis...Most of those people are casual gamers, so why wouldn't Nintendo want to keep releasing more casual gamers, and appeal to even more people? While I wish they would at least release a few good games for hardcore gamers, it makes sense to me.

Though the fact that Microsoft is trying to copy them is annoying.

After looking at Nintendo's list of games, I'm pretty disappointed. There's so much 3rd party shovel-ware. I really just want a fun action/adventure game to look forward to. It doesn't need to be mature or anything. I'm just tired of all of the junk 3rd parties are putting out, and the overly-family oriented 1st party games. I'll enjoy Animal Crossing as much as the next guy, but Nintendo just doesn't seem to be putting out the kind of quality innovation they used to. Sure they're innovating, but they're really dumbing things down.

It's like they've finally caved into the pressure 3rd parties have been putting on them. Normally 3rd parties can't compete with Nintendo's games, but now they can. And they're flourishing. Nintendo's making a profit off of them, so I guess it makes sense for Nintendo not to create the killer apps they used to that wipe out the sales of all other 3rd party games.

Yeah, I was atleast hoping for them to announce anything about Disaster: Days of Ruin but it seems that game has been dumped. Nintendo needs to make a new multiplayer game, maybe a Metroid game, that will appeal to the hardcore gamer.

Trailer is pretty [bleep] awesome.

Yea, if that's available for PS2 I'll be incredibly happy. Then again I really don't think dumb downed graphics would do it justice if that trailer was true in-game graphics, and not just a pre-rendered movie. Would be sweet if that was actual game play, but as they discussed those graphics should be possible on the PS3.

And yea Sony is, as usual always appealing to the Hardcore gamers, and I'm glad they have stuck with hardcore gamers but also going a little bit into the 'casual gamer' area, but not enough so that we aren't getting anything.

The only people who make up reports about games are the hardcore gamers, or reviewers who only review games they are told to review, or games they enjoy. Particularly most reviewers are hardcore gamers. I can see horrible ratings for 'casual gamers' games in the future just because reviewers are probably getting to the point of 'Just because it's meant for this audience doesn't mean I have to review it differently,'.

Anyways I also like how Sony is planning on keeping the PS2 going and giving support to it for the coming years, makes me happy to think I'll be able to buy a PS3 and have another 13-15 years out of it before spending another $300-$600 dollars and still get good games. I'm just hoping EA > Funcom can perhaps get the console integrated to a certain MMO, though this is wishing for like two zelda games in one year, lol.

Mega Man 9!@!@ Series needs to die off like FF. Or innovate something that keeps Mario alive (besides being a huge character in the development of the company).

DC Universe is also probably just a whole bunch of 'if' lines of code, so that selecting different things is just going to point you towards another area of game play, and not true 'play along'. Was hoping for something a bit better from this when I first heard it but I don't think Technology is there yet.

Another interesting thing I didn't know was that, if this is true, that 'most PS3 games aren't utilizing the PS3 by 80%,' as stated by the dude in one of the videos. Is this true? Or is our software technology that far behind in the hardware capabilities?

Nintendo's press conference was so cheesy. The whole "bringing smiles to the world" thing really pissed me off. Nintendo, just shut up and stop bragging about all your crap.

I'll admit, I want a Wii. But the games announced sucked. Wii music looks terrible. It takes no skill at all. Fail. At least Animal Crossing (never even tried it for DS, but my buddy who has it says it's really good) and the new Wii Sports game makes me want the wii more.

MAG looks like a crazy game. If I could afford a PS3, I would possibly get one. But, I guess a PS2 is what I'm getting since I'm probably only gonna use it for Guitar Hero.

Activision press conference is right now. Hoping for the release of the GH:WT setlist. Please...

I think Rock Band 2 is going to win overall. According to Microsoft (who knows if this is true or not  ), there will be over 500 songs by the end of this year. Unless Activision's got something big, Rock Band 2 is going to sell more. Just my opinion. And it seems that the whole industry is focusing on attracting more casual gamers now for bigger sales. I don't remember Sony's that well though. Either way, I think we've heard the best that we're gonna hear this year.
