It's always funny to take a screenshot of the whole computer screen, and set it as the desktop background, and turn off desktop icons.

 

The victim tries to click the icons and thinks their mouse is gone, or the pc is screwed up etc.

 

As far as they know it could be a thousand and one different problems, but it really isn't a technical issue at all.

 

 

 

I did that to my mom today actually. Me and my dad (his computer is right next to hers) had a good laugh about it. When she went on later in the evening, she flipped out. Thought her computer was broken, then demanded we fix it. We both just shrugged after pretending to try and fix it and said maybe it was a virus in a game she downloaded (cause she plays too many games...lol). She restarted the computer and the icons unhid themselves...man my ears are still ringing.

 

 

 

Weirdest prank, other than doing that to my whole programming class one day (for suppossed programmers, only 1 person knew how to fix it besides me), would be changing windows sounds on a friend's computer. I managed to find one of the screamer sound files. Also found some more...inappropriate sounds... :thumbsup: I think he still hates me for both of them, but I got his little sister too (with the screamer only, the other sounds probably would have gotten me jailed or something), so it's all good.

 

 

 

I also made an exploding birthday cake...Totally worth the time and money.

Not one someone did to me, but one I did to a friend. He was at school, in the computer lab, and I was at home. So I sent him a rickroll link. He had his speakers on max volume, and he clicked the link right as everyone got quiet because the headmaster came in. He says he almost got a detention because the window wouldn't close.

I actually did that at Work once, quite a good laugh seeing the guy try and find the problem. I actually had shut down explorer[Caution: Executable File] too haha. I was sticking around since I didn't want the computer to be disabled from use out of people's ignorance, as it's the only computer in the store. We all laughed when I showed them what was happenning. Living in a small town ftw :D.

At my school I was able to figure out how to rotate the moniter screens, so when a friend wasn't looking I would hop on their computer and rotate their screens 180 degree's, so when they got back it would be upside down. It would be so funny to see them try and fix it. I would also plug in my mouse or keyboard to their computer, and when they got back start pushing random buttons or moving the mouse to freak them out. I love messing around with people on our school computers, it's so much fun since they don't know whats going on.

My little brother (little and little, hes taller than me -.-) changed my PSP wallpaper to some "eechi" once and told my mum that I put it there, same goes for my computer...

I memorised the tone each button on my friends' phones make,so everytime they send SMS's,I note down the numbers pressed and try to figure out the message,for blackmail purposes.

 

 

 

The only sad thing is that I don't know the receiver.Not really a prank,but I have sent the exact messages they sent out to them =D

 

 

 

As for pranks,yesterday at work it was "work in underwear day".Its mainly so the boss can oogle the girls,but we (get to oogle too) have to be in underwear too.I put a small pyro tech in the barkeeper's pants.After he went home I activated it,its like small enough to not hurt him much but loud enough to make him jump.

A girl in may class is latino and has her brithday on cinco de may (5th of MAy... odd isn't it). She asked my to hold her pinata she got from spanish class. Then a kid came over and ripped the horn off saying "I want the horn dude!" She did not forgive me until someone vouched for my honest (and the fact that he still had the horn) :oops:

tape some of those clear saran wrap on a doorway, the more tape the better, and make sure there isnt any wrinkles or anyway of telling that its there then tell your friend to come in and help you with something. then sit back and laugh as they surprising crash into the saran wrap

Right Click on Desktop > View > Untick "Show Desktop Icons".

well I recently made a 'virus' (basically scans the directory and it looks like it is deleting everything) and decided to test it on my friend, so I named it private data and changed the icon to to a folder and left the computer, when I came back he looked so sorry, so I told him what it really was [note] might get it off the school computers on Monday and put it on my sisters computers :XD: either that or write another one and put it on...

ya it's possible

 

(start-up batch file)

 

1. Create a shortcut to the batch file.

 

2. Once the shortcut has been created right-click the file and select Cut.

 

3. Click Start, Programs, right-click the Startup folder and click Open

 

4. Once the Startup folder has been opened click Edit and paste the shortcut into the startup. Any shortcuts in the startup folder will automatically start each time Windows starts.

have that run on start up and it will close the taskbar while loading :XD: that way they can't use things such as window key + *letter* or Ctrl + Atl + Del to bring up the Task Manager which will really annoy them

well i have a [bleep]ed up sense of humour :lol: but me and my friend are pretty weird after being up 24 hours :D so one it ended in we keep saying "Ses på grillen"(see ya on the grill) idk but we sat for 30mins(yes 30 mins) and laughed like beavis and butthead. damn we had fun(we also completed the hole hl saga that day)
