April 2, 200917 yr Ok, here goes There's this girl at my school that I really like, everything about her is perfect. I'm in grade 8 and there is a dance coming up and I want to ask her to go with me, but I'm scared of rejection cause I'm emotional at times and don't want to look like a loser. The dance is in a month and I'm not really sure how to ask her or when, it'll look wierd asking a month in advance. I've looked at other things on the Internet about how to tell if a girl likes you and I guess you could say it's about 80-20 for liking-not liking me but I'm still not convinced. I've been trying to convince myself to ask her but I always get doubts. I guess it's obvious that I should ask her, but I don't know how, or when to do it, and what I would do if she said no. PS the dance is a 12 hour dance (7pm till 7am) and is on my birthday :D It's great you know what you're talking about rustiod. Everything you've said is 100% accurate a true. That being said...your a [bleep]ing [bleep] douchebag, and none of your advice will ever (or should ever) be taken seriously because of it.disregard good advice because the giver is a douche THAT MAKES YOU A BETTER PERSON
April 2, 200917 yr If you go through life being scared of rejection you're going to miss out on a lot of great opportunities, including taking this girl to the dance. If you don't want to look like a loser then get the practice in now on how to deal with the possibility of rejection and gain some confidence. There is no perfect time to ask her out, just ask her. Why would it look weird asking her a month in advance? At least if she says no you have a month to get over it and ask someone else. And what if someone beats you to it because you took to long to ask? Why waste your time and energy on convincing yourself? You can use so much less just going 1-2-3 and then opening your mouth to speak. It'll be over in a second and you'll get over a rejection in time but something that will take longer to get over is having the perfect opportunity to do something and never going through with it. Better off with a no than a "what if". If you look at this statistically without trying to talk yourself in to how much she likes you exactly if you ask her out, she has 50% chance to say yes, 50% chance to say no. If you don't ask, you have 0%. Short answers to your questions. I don't know how: "So there's this dance coming up have you heard about it? wanna come with me?" I don't know when: When you see her next What would you do if she says no: Get over it and ask someone else, by the time you finish high school you probably won't even remember her name. The only people who tell you that you can't do something are those who have already given up on their own dreams so feel the need to discourage yours.

Once she seems to be a normal human to you it'll be easier to approach her. Then all you need to do is strike up a normal conversation and and just pop the question in there somewhere.
April 2, 200917 yr Ok, thanks guys. I'll see what happens today EDIT: [bleep]ed it up. Didn't get a chance the entire day, after school I saw her standing outside by herself with no one else around. Once I was outside the school I saw her and turned around and went inside for 20 seconds, came back out to ask her, and she was walking towards her ride. There's always tomorrow I guess... April 2, 200917 yr So...I guess you could not really consider this relationship, but it sort of is, its friendship...But, whatever... Uhm, well, you see, this girl said that her and I would always be friends, and you know, I was like, sure, lets go with that... Then about 2 days ago, she says, you know that thing I said earlier? About how we will be good friends forever, well its not even worth my time to try... And she said me and her are not friends anymore... So, my question is...Do they usually come around and realize they miss you? Or will she never forgive me...Cause from past experience, girls can hold grudges like no other... My Blog!!!

I still have a few, pretty much all of my brother's friends have been with him since third grade, and my sister met her husband barely after high school, but she didn't like the people at her high school so she wasn't friends with them. Although you'll probably keep friends of the same-sex easier, I've noticed. Mainly because some of those girls will get HOT. catch it now so you can like it before it went so mainstream

When I was in elementary school I played all the sports so I was really good friends with all the other guys in my class who played all the sports. As high school came around I still was playing sports as were the rest of them, but they also got into partying/drinking/chewing whereas I didn't - so I started hanging out with my not-so-good of friends who didn't play sports and ended up becoming best friends with several of them, and remain very close friends with them to this day. April 3, 200917 yr I know this thread is traditionally for romantic relationship advice but... I was thinking over my life today, and realized the majority of my firends have slowly disappeared. I still see them, but I don't really talk to them anymore. I also seem to be repulsed at the idea of making new friends. I see this as a problem, but does anyone have any idea how to solve it? Perhaps I'm too judgemental... Quote Quote Anyone who likes tacos is incapable of logic. Anyone who likes logic is incapable of tacos. April 3, 200917 yr So you're in high school? If so, I kind of had a similar problem. Me and this girl were really close, like basically best friends and then we just stopped talking. We saw each other in the halls and [cabbage] and it was awkward and one day we just started talking again. We had a period of like 3 months of not talking and then 2 weeks ago we just crossed paths and started talking again. Now it's just like it was before, it's great. So basically if they were your good friends then I think you should just start talking to them again and it shouldn't majorly awkward or anything.
April 3, 200917 yr god dammit. I am really such a [bleep] to my girlfriend. I always need a constant reassurance that she still loves me, I'm always afraid she doesn't care. She never seems to care, she never really listens completely to what I say. I do, but not all the time. today she was asking me what was wrong. and I told her something. and it turned into something about how my tummy has been hurting for a week and a half. she said why didn't you tell me. and I said I did, you just don't listen. and she told me to [bleep] off, not to call her, and to leave her alone. and I'm not bothered that much by this, because I know she ends up bouncing back. even though I know she shouldn't. and a part of me wants her not to want to come back. a part of me wants her to hate me, because then I won't have anything to care about anymore. and that'll make everything easier on me. I treat her like [cabbage] sometimes. but I love her so much. I really don't know why I feel like this. I should go talk to goddess sometime. I'm so [bleep]ing pathetic.

If she's your girlfriend then she should listen to you when you want to talk. I think anyone in a situation where their partner didn't listen properly would need assurance that they care. I just think she's overly sensitive when it comes to feed back. It's a two way street, if you have a problem with each other then you both need to communicate. If she thinks you're being a bit of a jerk this week then she needs to be able to voice it without you getting all defensive, likewise, she's been ignoring you so instead of taking it to heart she should probably try and accommodate that. Instead of walking away and saying "[bleep] you, don't call me, leave me alone" she needs to mature and be able to say something like. "When did you tell me this? I honestly don't remember, I'll try to pay more attention next time sorry." I don't think you should break up, that would be a pretty stupid reason, especially if you still love her. Relationships are about learning from each other and growing together. You're both young and at the moment you're trying to get this communication thing right, it takes a lot of practice! I'd only give up if you were on a much more mature level than her, ready to be open for communication on both ends and she constantly kept responding immature all the time. I would ignore her immature behaviour and praise her when she's doing the right thing. Even women need to be treated like puppies for training sometimes ;) For example if she's being immature then ignore her, don't be the first one to text her or ring her. But when she acknowledges your feelings and listens to you then respond with something like "When you listened (insert scenario here) it was really great. You made me feel like you really valued what I had to say, thank you :D." She'll catch on really quickly. When people ignore others, sometimes they do question whether they are the one's to blame. And sometimes we think negatively of ourselves or that somehow we deserved to be treated or spoken to that way. I can positively and honestly say you are not being pathetic. It's called being insecure and almost everyone (if not everyone) is insecure. Every person has insecurities but it's how you respond to your insecurities that is the important part. You have nothing to be insecure about wongtong, you're beautiful, funny and smart! April 4, 200917 yr Right. I decided to have a go at it and post here after some time of reading this thread. Here's my situation. This year I'm in the same class with a girl I've known since kindergarten/elementary school. Then in high school (12-13 year at that time) I never really saw/talked to her again. This year (I'm 17 now) we're in the same class again. Since September I really started talking more and more to her, I guess she considers me as a friend, but I really think I love her.. I'm always wondering what she's doing, and atm she's on a 1 week vacation and I'm really missing her... for no real apparant reason cause I'm pretty sure she won't be missing me :x. We talk a lot, but sometimes I'm not even sure if she actually likes me at all.. I'm not sure what else to say here, there's so much more I can say, but I don't know what. I suggest you ask questions or stuff if you want to . Also, this is really the only girl I can look at and say, "wow she's amazing, beatiful, funny and NOT a [bleep].." Mind this, I'm not the most popular or best looking guy at my school, and I hope that's not why it's not really working. I haven't really had a real girlfriend before, and I'm 17. I have no idea who else I could possible see becoming my girlfriend when I look at people I know. Any help is appreciated, thanks

Don't be that guy who talks to us and completely tries to cover up the fact that he's into us. It's frustrating and really, you look and sound like a creep when you try to cover it up. :x If you've been holding back a little, by now you should begin to flirt. If she responds in kind, wait a week or so and ask her to go somewhere. :D Good luck. and these children that you spit on as they try to changetheir worlds, they are immune to your consultations; they're quite aware of what they're going through.- david bowie
April 4, 200917 yr Hey, Fatality, I've got a question that's kind of directed at a girl, uh, at what point do girls get annoyed at flirting? Like, I flirt with girls, but I always do it for like 2 minutes, then clam up, cause I don't want them mad at me, so when do they really start to get annoyed? And how can I tell they are getting annoyed? Note, I am in 7th grade. My Blog!!!
April 4, 200917 yr girls only get annoyed at flirting if you're good friends with them, and it really makes them uncomfortable because they don't think of you that way at all. or if you're waaaay over the top about it. but some girls like that too.

You can tell if they get annoyed if they yell "SHUT THE [bleep] UP" But generally speaking if they seem to like it to begin with and then start going -.- after a bit or if they react by turning away or something, you really should stop. 8,180WONGTONG IS THE BEST AND IS MORE SUPERIOR THAN ME#1 Wongtong stalker.Im looking for some No Limit soldiers!
April 4, 200917 yr well. last night my girlfriend called me, she doesn't seem to be as mad as she was yesterday, and I don't understand why the hell she was mad in the first place. and last night she called to say goodnight, and to try and get angry at me because of some [cabbage] my friend matt made up. he told her I was being "argumentative" because he was [bleep]ing and whining about things, and I told him to shutup. and corrected the way he spelled something. and he's like quit being such a [bleep], and said I was trying to start an argument, and I said this is gonna turn into an argument so why dont we both just shut the [bleep] up right now, and then he blocked me. and made some [cabbage] up about how I pissed off my best friend, when I didn't. and whenever me and her get into fights, she always ends up listening to the [cabbage] he says, and calls me or talks to me just to get angry at me, to try and make it seem like everything is all my fault. and it also seems like she called me just to make me feel like [cabbage], and that's what she accomplished doing. I'm kinda angry right now, and kinda sad. and I really really don't like her at the moment. I still love her, but I don't like what she's doing. I'm really really angry at her right now. /vent.
April 4, 200917 yr Well, I have returned once more. Sort of good news actually. So, I've become to take an interest into another female. And by doing that, I now find my ex unattractive (swoot). Okay, so this girl after we had been talking for awhile I had found out that she was once a gamer (I'm as shocked as you guys). She played games like WoW, CS:S and Diablo II (honestly, how awesome?). And she plays stuff on the xbox. (I'm like :o) Anyway, she finds me pretty funny (With my aussie accent, and my ways to adopt physical movements.) And she is also looking forward to Diablo III coming out, (IP battle anyone, hey-hey) Also to my suprise she is also going to the same 6th form as me. Well, this will be interesting to see how it plays out Drow, If your girlfriend is taking advice from the worm of friend you have, maybe you may have to consider ending it? Although, it may be not a good option, it will save you a lot of grief later, and you can easily push the blame off to the worm of your friend. Luck be a Lady
