Stop worrying about sex. Your penis won't shrivel up and die if it doesn't meet the opposite sex for a year. Ask Michael Scott. You're being needy. Start loving yourself a little.

This.

But I am curious about what happened.

That's why I'm up-front about not wanting sex. Only foreplay.

catch it now so you can like it before it went so mainstream

Well, not sure what could have happened there, but better luck next time I guess?

I'd question those motives if they didn't make so much sense. One day, that'll get you laid anyway in the heat of the moment.

Tim, she doesn't want to see you again cause you wanted to go out with her?

What did you do, try to have sex with her?

Also, sorry to hear that, plenty of fish in the sea mate, just keep that lure out there.

I couldn't help but laugh when I read that. :XD:

I don't know really what to do. I am in second year in college. I am staying in a student accommodation. You can imagine the amount of the house parties and all that goes on here then. The problem is the house parties and my flat mates asking me to go out to one. Last year I did go out to a few house parties and clubs in the first few weeks of first year, but I never really felt normal there, like I was a dryarse or something. I don't drink (or smoke) and I wouldn't be the most sociable person. I know house parties and going out in general is a good way to meet people (and girls). In one sense I do want to go out to the house parties and socialise, but at the same time I don't because since I don't drink I would feel a bit weird (and I don't really want to start drinking). After house parties, people generally go out to one of the clubs near by, again I want to go out to them, but I again feel weird in clubs. When I try to dance it feels like I am making a bit of a fool out of myself but generally as the night wears on, I would start to dance more and more and start to kind of care less and less about what other people think. But that would be near the end of the night.

I don't know what to do.

Anyone got any ideas?

Go out, go to parties if you want to. You only live once, might as well enjoy it. And you don't have to drink, have water or something. Just remember that you're there to have fun and meet new people, so have fun and meet new people

Honestly, no one will care if you drink or not, they're more interested in what you have to say,

I also have[had] this problem at some parties because I don't drink/smoke either. What I learned quickly though, is that you can easily fit in with those types of people by acting like you drink. Show up to a club. Dance like an idiot. No one's gonna care because they're drunk, or they think you were. So no one's judging you. People drink in those situations to loosen up and be socialable. All you have to do is get to that level without inducing drugs/alcohol. It's a skill that's easily picked up, you just need to learn that no one judges you, and those that do don't matter.

This is great advice...if you're looking to get the kind of girlfriend who will only like you if you're a drunken idiot.

Just be yourself, sooner or later you'll find someone who likes you for that.

Howlin, you can socialize with drunks very easily. They usually have something to say about pretty much anything. You don't have to be drunk or act drunk to have fun with them.

Just be your best self (but not someone else), sooner or later you'll find someone who likes you for that.

Fixed according to my opinion.

"OK, here's the situation. My friend (from here on in named A) is a fairly awkward guy, he's not dumb or mean but like everyone sometimes he messes up. He had a crush on my other friend (a girl, two years older than him (he's 15, she's 17) and she's the usual popular girl type. He was reaaaally awkward with her, ended up declaring his "love" for her, I had to push her to answer him. This was about 2 weeks ago.

Yesterday, A and B were at a party. A was too drunk, B was tipsy and so was I. B and some guy started flirting, A felt rejected and wanted to hook up with a girl, any girl just as long as someone wanted him. He just went in for a kiss on my friend, C. C was not happy but she understood. A spent the evening crying on the loo.

Now clearly, A wants some girls. And he's not getting them with this needy/insecure/awkward behaviour. I really want to help him to up his self-esteem and confidence, but I don't know what to say. I'm a guy, one year older than him, I've managed to push myself out of his situation but i didn't have nearly as bad as him.

Also, it's worth mentioning that A has style, he's pretty good looking, and girls say he's going to be a hottie later on.

So, yeah, what do I tell him? "

I posted this on /adv/, didn't get any useful help (you are a A and this a sad reflection of your social awkwardness). Care to help?

Put him on david deangelo's mailing list. All his emails are drumming 1 basic idea: stop being such a vagina because x (along with 'buy my products' at the end)

It helped me, and it should help him too because of the way the brain learns things. Then maybe get him to read my blog.

I wouldn't advise buying david d's products though. Imo the half assed 20k in notes I wrote along with my blog posts are better than his stuff. He is amazing at marketing however.

I feel stupid.

I've hesitated for months about really getting to know this one girl just because I was REALLY attracted to her in that freak-myself-out way. Why the hesitation?

She has a girlfriend.

And I'm 99% she still does.

Am I wrong for being hesitant?

She's into girls....I haven't even asked if she's into guys or not. I've posted this problem before, but the only progress I've really made is the occasional text conversation I have with her [which is to say none]. On the one hand, I have nothing to lose and asking her if she's bi is a no-lose situation. I feel stupid because even with that logic, I still haven't brought myself to asking her.

Would it be weird to call her out of the blue and just have a normal conversation?

I want to do this, but i kind of want to actually talk in person. Meaning I have to move from phone to face-to-face. Not that hard, but she's bordering inexperienced, and probably has a girlfriend. So then I'm just the weirdo who called her to hang out. Which I guess i could solve by having something somewhere set up that we can both enjoy. I'm thinking baseball game. Or concert. We really clicked when I first met her....it's just a shame that the timing was so off that it didn't go anywhere. Its tough to just let this opportunity pass. But with my history with girls, it may have been for the best that it was stalled in any case.

so...now that I've rambled for a good 5 minutes....I don't even know why I'm posting this.

Guess it helps to just frustratedly vent at a wall. A wall composed of a dozen or so frequenters with individual opinions and thoughts. or something.

sigh.
