If he doesn't want to help himself then there isn't really anything you can do besides tell his parents, who will probably make it worse. Don't try and force anything on him, it's his life and his decisions and it will lead to him shutting you out.

I convinced them to quit, they got through a day and a half, then a 'friend' gave them two sandwhich bags of heavily heroin laced weed for free... that ended that attempt.

Right, so now that I am a working man again I have the confidence (sort of) to approach women. There's one in particular. She's a friend of mine (we didn't exactly hang out alot) and her boyfriend dumped her two days ago. Shes cute, hot, but the problem is trying to get her to fall for me again. (yes, we dated 4-5 years ago). She knows I want sex in a relationship and she too agrees sex is vital to have a successful relationship. Is it too soon to make a move? what should I do? (and im not the only competition so Im going to need to haul arse on my one shot to get it right)

It sounds like he wasn't doing too bad on his own until the "friend" came in. I'd tell him to stay away from all drugs, especially the commonly laced ones. If that doesn't work, professional help would be best. Don't tell his parents unless you think it's absolutely necessary.

 

Actually, how addicted is he? Heroin's got nasty withdrawal, so you might not want to completely cut him off.

Sounds a lot like people are trying to get him back into it, so not doing any drugs at all would definitely be best.

Heroin will almost definitely need some sort of professional help during the withdrawal. If you got him to try to stop before, you might be able to convince him to go into rehab. The best way to solve this is if he actually wants to go into rehab - trying to force him or getting parents/cops involved will just cause problems. The real problem is that in order for him to want to stop, something bad has to happen, and with heroin "something bad" tends to be really bad.

Hey, when you go dry for 10 months, SOME sex is better then none. But I was talking to her a bit more and she wants to be around me quite alot. We're hanging out all Sunday day+night and wants me to see her whenever she/I can.

It's not like high school where if a guy and a girl like each other they get all serious and monogamous within a couple months. It's probably why high school relationships usually don't work out. I mean you can enjoy each others company, have feelings for each other and have sex and still not be attached enough to dive in. Otherwise it's an easy way to get sick of each other quickly.

So, my question is, any advice on how I could renew our previous friendship? or will it just take time?

Well, if you're honestly cool with just being friends, just wait a little while, then when you feel it'll be slightly less awkward, say that you value your friendship with her too much to lose it over a lousy decision.
