explorer's ring (3)

what can you do with it?

what are the advantages?

well i will start to post the things i found usefull:

the energy boost: 3x 50% extra runenergy (usefull for rc)

the extra runes you get when rc'ing:

i did some airs, normally i get 7x, but with the ring i get 7,1x

so 100airs more per 1k ess crafted. Not much but every bit helps..

the low alchemy: you get xp when you cast the spell!! (31xp, free mage xp ftw??)

usefull when training combat, now i can low alch those steel/iron drops :)

The cabbage teleport: usefull for getting to port sarim and draynor

The 1 prayer and magic att boost ofcourse, always usefull

does anyone else know something, please post.

Thanks

Since I'm P2P with 73 Summoning, the Run Restore is essentially useless since I have Terrorbirds who can do that for me. I do like the alch though. Like I just said on another thread, it is great for Slayer. As for the tele, I have no real use for that as of yet.

its useful for rcing airs, and not only run more or make .1x airs more than what you can do.

if you start from draynor bank, cabbage tele, then walk to air altar, craft runes, cabbage tele and go back to draynor bank!

this saves about 30 secs per trip ;)

For P2P:

- The tele is great for farming rounds. I used to do a short ectophial farming trip after every slayer task, and with this one, you have another farming patch just a click and a hop away, without the cost of tele runes. Great to get rid of all those herb seeds you get superfast. And with the shortcut in the draynor fence, you can quickly stop by for a nightshade pick and plant as well.

- Great for unlimited run for agility training. I tend to do a bit of monkey agility training a day. With the ogre pool and 150 free run % together, I can get about 30k agility xp without touching a super energy. Also very useful for restoring energy during farming trips or slayer assignments.

- And as was said, the alchs give free xp and coins if you use them to alch drops you'd usually have to leave behind (steel 2h are great). For bigger drops, I still prefer high alch though.

It would be useful mainly for teleing, the running and alching I will probably hardly/never use. Plus I probably won't wear it when I get members again, since the Ring of Persuasion (Or whatever its called) would be better.

It is actually very benifical for me at the moment. I have always needed a direct Draynor teleport in F2P, and the run bonus + alches are nice too. The alching works well when I range the Moss Giants on Crandor, as there drops have given me about 20k per 30 Alches.

My relaxation method involves a bottle of lotion, beautiful women, and partial nudity. Yes I get massages.

I have to say though that the alcemy is usefull because if you are training and there is somthing you won't waste high alc or inventory space on. just low alc it and get 60 gp or somthing.

In fact, I do have some pancake mix.

  • 2 weeks later...

I find the ring very usefull.

On my farming runs, i have 150 more energy to work with.

The alch is good for all those steel drops.

The teleport is right by a herb patch which i use alot now. :P

I find the ring helpful when I need prayer bonus, the cabbage port is good for getting to air altar (not that I go there much anymore, but had a use for me before). The run bonus is OK, but not really useful because I can go to Oo'glog or summon a Spirit Terrorbird. Overall it's a kinda useless reward, but I still like it ;)

I decided to tell a secret i have been keeping about it: The low alc give exp. So use it one thirty ashes or willow logs a day and get all that free exp! Magic exp of course.

In fact, I do have some pancake mix.

I mostly like it for its teleport, incase I need to go to Draynor or Falador fast (usually for quests or something), I suppose it would also be somewhat useful if you make law runes, although the Abyss would be so much better.

The teleport is incredibly useful if you're doing anything in Karamja. In particular, fishing is a lot easier because you don't have to keep 30gp in your inventory for the return trip and the teleport takes you fairly close to the Draynor bank.

Ah, this reminds me about the noob on the Runescape forums who was upset with the quest "Cold War" because apparently his grandparents died in the war. :wall:
