[hide=]It was awesome when I learned of the entire mutant military project, but we only got to see super-strength. Damn it! I kind of hate the fact that Sylar has a 'partner'. He's a lone killer... if he doesn't kill Luke, it means he isn't 'hungry' anymore, and doesn't have anything truly evil about him. Sylar's power is Inuative Aptitude (please point out spelling mistakes). And that is how he understand how things work. Arthur meanwhile could drain the powers, he didn't understand how things work. Baconxl Posted February 12, 2009 Share Posted February 12, 2009 Inuative Intuitive. I rather liked the past two episodes, I like the storyline better than last season. About Claire, she's also like eighteen, most of the other heroes are adults. Though she is particularly stupid about some things it is a case of her powers being kind of useless, though she did save Matt last episode. Kiriyama Posted February 12, 2009 Share Posted February 12, 2009 Knew I got that wrong. Honestly, I think since last season, we've seen a dramatic change in Claire. She was kind of naive, but last season she changed completely. Wasn't a good change either, she became focused on revenge against people like Sylar, and, really, I think Sylar was right, she was becoming more like him when she wanted to kill him. Her powers are pretty much useless when you look at other characters though, I think its just a means in order to bring back characters that are more vital. H.R.G. for example, Heroes wouldn't be the same without him, so they had to bring him back. I think that is more along the lines of her being stubborn, in the last few seasons, she wouldn't listen to those who knew better (H.R.G. for example) and just did what she wanted because she couldn't die. Well, she could, if the object is left inside her brain. I however, quite enjoyed last season's storyline. Peter could have his old abilities temporarily if Ando supercharged him. Matt would be able to control people from much farther away. Mohinder would become much stronger. It would be interesting to see them all powered up. But still, he hasn't done anything. Plus from season three, we saw that his power can be used by himself to attack opponents, so we know he will be able to fight for himself. He just needs to be given a bigger role in the episodes. He won't be but that doesn't mean he won't use them offensively, it seems like an Ando thing to do anyways. I suppose you are right, season 2 really wasn't that great but it was rushed and cut short because of the writers strike. Okay, looking back on it season 3 was pretty good. About him giving powers back to Hiro, I think Hiro will get his powers back before that future happens, he can't go that long without powers I don't think. I only think this because he had his sword and stuff so it seems like he might. But also they were arguing about the formula, which was destroyed so I don't think that future will even happen. Imagine if Ando's power could act as the catalyst itself. This is just speculation though, doubt it would be true. (Or perhaps, each person who gets powers through the formula also retains part of the catalyst, making Ando a holder of it, and Peter, and Mohinder.) Next week sounds promising but mostly like all the action will take place in the last ten minutes with the following week being another bridge, leading to Sylar meeting his father with the follow episode after that a whole episode dedicated to the man. I think their absence was a big plus for the episode. Though the whole Indian wedding thing was totally pointless and played out like some little kid's bedtime story. I was dissapointed when Tracy got herself captured right away. She could have atleast put up more of a fight. But I guess her only purpose in the episode was to get Nathan the funding he needed, so she had to stay captured. I look forward to next weeks episode about HGR. It annoys me that they're rounding up all of the people with abilities, like breathing underwater? Very dangerous... I missed the episode on Monday so I had to watch it online. indy500fan Posted February 18, 2009 Share Posted February 18, 2009 I really didn't like this episode. If they had dropped the entire Indian/Hiro/Ando part then it would have been better. There was a scene or two of that that was painfully bad. Thought the Traci thing was stupid also, she isn't a killer, she was surrounded and knew she was caught when she had that guy in her grasp. Why did she kill him? Plot device, that's why. It was completely out of character. She is a calculating lobbyist, the last thing she heard was when the DHS lady left her cell and said she was going to shut the place down because of human rights violations. Whether or not Traci thought DHS lady would succeed, she wouldn't specifically ruin her chances by killing a guy in cold blood right in front of her. Nobody is that stupid, and Traci is more calculating than normal, and I'll reiterate she isn't a killer. The Claire/HRG thing is just old now. Oh and comic shop customers/employees don't act like that, while a lot of the customers/employees are male there are a good amount of females there also. I did like the Sylar/microwave story, thought it was interesting when right after telling microwave to not get emotional about the situation Sylar gets emotional about his dad. Didn't like how Sylar all of the sudden forgot all of his powers except for telekinesis when he was surrounded, and didn't even use that very well. Not to mention he let himself get surrounded.
