Ewww... paintings made out of dead babies :uhh:

Was that a pathetic attempt to be funny, or are you really that [developmentally delayed]ed?

OT: How did she find out that her "fluid" makes good paint? You must be really stupid to mix it up with the red...

You do realize that painting with the blood was one of the main ideas behind her paintings, right? I'm not really sure what you mean by this.

Uhh, she got the idea? So what if it's different.

^ i would be interested to hear about her first few paintings with this method and why she chose this strange method.

Yeah, that's reasonable.

How in the hell does the "artist" get the fluid? To do paintings wouldn't you need a lot?

How in the hell does the "artist" get the fluid? Does the artist have a Goodwill type collection system next to Walmart with a sign that says "Put extra menstrual fluid here"?

Read the FAQ. You know there is a certain amount that can be gleaned from an issue if you don't run away because you find it yucky.

Along the lines of what jack said, it's probably a statement for attention, but this kind of stuff does work because we're obviously talking about it now.

Isn't that how all contemporary art is now?

But seriously, that's just gross. Leave those "fluids" in the trash where they should go. *goes to throw up*

that is way to far

artists are constantly pushing the boundary of too far, and its just blood basically if it was from someones arm would it be as disgusting? i think not :)

You do not deserve the vital organs you possess. I hope you die a slow, painful inversed-exploded-tumor related death.

Obviously, people aren't reading the entire thing, they just look at the picture and go run to the toilet to vomit...

This started as part of a thesis for a college class, a Women's Spirituality class. It stems from the fact that, yes, periods are a taboo subject. People don't like talking about it because it's not "proper", even though it has everything to do with the beautiful act of creating life in the womb. It's funny how the most beautiful things in life are also, for some reason, improper discussion topics.

Honestly, I get the art. I perfectly understand her reasoning for doing this. I may not do this, because it's not my thing. But I think putting her down for it is just plain ignorant.

What a turn on.

the painting is pretty, but that poor girl must have horrible cycles to get that much fluid. i dont think ive ever had near that much...

I require hugs. Seriously, just give them to me, and youll see your little turtle again.

Probably a pretty good explanation, I was sort of thinking the same thing but didn't know how to put it. Of course most people aren't going to get past the "eww, yukky!" portion of it.

Good job by her if you ask me. I don't know why everybody is so shocked about this?

When the stars make you drool just like a pasta fazool, that's amore!

Actually she's a serial killer. She tells everyone it's mentrual blood when they see them, that way she can gross out her victims and take them out while they're out of it and use their blood to make more paintings. The menstrual blood thing is just a cover!

Yeah, that like explains everything, you know. I mean, she's a sicko, totally. I'm so not amazed, I bet that if you let a spycholologist (sp?) examine the paintings, they'd see right through her evil satanic mind.

Seriously, highlanders is right, if I read the sarcasm right. I'm not into shock art, but some people here are really exaggerating. It's just menstrual blood, after all. By overreacting, you are giving the artist exactly her way.

As good as the actual painting is, it is very artistic, the very thought of her using her own menstrual fluids to paint it, makes me feel physically sick looking at it.
