Greedy people.

Featured Replies

I was training range at fire giants with one other person, he started to leave every fire giant with only a little hp left so if I kill it he gets the loot. I asked him nicely to stop several times, but he didn't. Once they were all at low health I stopped attacking them and so did he. I hate little greedy losers like these people, if you are one of them you deserve to rot in hell.

1. Put the idiot on your ignore list

2. Check that your privates are friends/off

3. Switch worlds

That should solve the problem. There are many idiots in runescape to be honest. You just need to know how to deal with them. But these 3 steps should help you on that part.

So many that switching worlds just changes their sn's, not their placement nor actions.

Yeah dude, I hate people that do that too. You can't do anything about that though.

Just ignore them and switch worlds. You're mature enough to leave him alone. Definitely don't instigate stuff.

True. Get assaulted by an idiot once and you can change worlds, but what's stopping that from happening again except with a different idiot? There's really nothing you can do about it than just dealing with it.

I do it all the time, it's a great tactic.

One possible way, if you're at least close in fighting power, is if you're in a multizone, attack the same monster as him.

Insulting a player back would end up backfiring on you and get yourself a free blackmark.

Yes, you have to know how to deal with jerks like him. No, you don't have to stay on the same world taking all his crap. Let him taste a little of his own medicine instead or just go to a different world for the sake of a more peaceful and efficient training.

I just try and outlast them causing them to either log out or leave.

If someone is doing something that isn't against the rules but still annoying, and it is just the two of you training, then just do exactly what they are doing back to them. These sort of people tend to get annoyed really easily and will end up just leaving.

It's time like these where I'm glad theres a cannon ::'

Yep, the stronger you are the easier that will be. I used to get pushed around all the time with skills such as Hunter, Mining, and Combat. Now that my levels are higher no one really likes challenging me to the resources/monsters anymore. With the exception of cannoners....

Amen to that,

Yeah but it is annoying...

Was this thread chopped down or am I delusional that it was two pages just a day or two ago and I'd written a response already?

Anyway, this is certainly a type of greifing I've never encountered before. Sounds extremely annoying, I would most likely just end up changing worlds, or breaking out a cannon.

I hate it when this happens. I train Ranged a lot in King Lathas' Training Facility, and most of the time, there are others there too. One thing that we all hate is when someone comes out of nowhere, sets up a Cannon, and ruins all the Ogres. They're harder to touch than MC Hammer.

So, basically Earthysun is Jesus's only son.

I totally understand your pain. The people that have done it to me only do it because it benefits themselves... DIE! >.< :wall: But anyway, I hope you don't find anyone like that for a while. ;)

I only train because it benefits myself, what's bad in that?

You should switch worlds, it makes everyone happy, dont say "why should I have to switch worlds" be the mature one and just do it.

a common scaper, taking a huge advantage over the internet.

Stop, fighting the monster and just wait. It also fun to attack them first then do exactly what he did to you. Or if you are in a clan bring all of them out. Or my favorite option just switch worlds.

Retired from Runescape September 1, 2008

Yeah, it annoys me too. I vote for switching worlds. If you're looking for a good fire giant spot, you must be used to world hopping by now. I know, it's a pain, but I think these... Low Life Leaving Later Lootingers are worse! I just made that up right now! I'm pretty proud of myself now...

It is definitely annoying, but that person does want the loot as much as you do, so they might be desperate enough to try the shoot until 30% hp or something to get more loot than you. Can't blame them 100%, since RS is pretty much a free for all (except friends list maybe), but acting like that is certainly greedy. However, greed can actually lead to success, so I will have to say you might want to change worlds, no matter how pesky that might be. Or be evil and copy his idea and let him get all the 30% hp monsters after you shoot them

Welcome to Runescape.
