So, anybody gonna be in Toronto in June to see how we Eastern Europeans manage our liquor?

In other news, been a hell of a long day. Went to work at 6 AM and finished with everything for today at 11 PM...

So I've noticed this thread's regulars all follow similar trends.

RPG is constantly dealing with psycho exes.

Muggi reminds us of the joys of polygamy.

Saq is totally oblivious to how much chicks dig him.

I strike out every other week.

Kalphite wages a war against the friend zone.

Randox pretty much stays rational.

Etc, etc

Veiva, I can only help but think your respect for sobriety comes from your brain unintentionally dissociating you on occasion. Our disrespect comes from our need to dissociate. Its about a need for control. You like being your version of sober because it's a nice change that you feel in control. We like drinking heavily to control when we have that feeling. Everyone needs to dissociate sometimes, but I can understand that not controlling when that happens would give you a deeper appreciation of when you are in control.

If you drink less than a marathon runner before a race I'm going to be disapointed

I don't know how much marathon runners drink before a race.

And having heard about your alcohol prices I'm a bit afraid I'll be broke before I get drunk.

€7 for half a litre of pretty okay vodka.

In a store of course.

Beer (pint) in a bar here is around €2.5-3.

It's $11.99 for a handle (1.75 liters) of cheap Vodka here. Not something I would recommend sipping though. Probably the cheapest sippable vodka is Sobieski, which is $18.99 for a handle I think

Beer in bars is usually something like $3 for macros, then $4-$7 for everything else

And I've met quite a few people that smoke rather than drink, but at the end of the day we all have our vices that keep us sane

As someone who has experienced both, it's also fair to say that the experience of disassociating because of mental illness vs. being drunk are very different, and the former is pretty much entirely negative, while the latter is neutral if not positive in most of the cases people here are talking about. There's just different contexts behind each which makes the difference.

Just finished up my last presentation for my mobile apps class without ever actually making a mobile app hollaaaaa~

I also got lunch with an old friend who is an RA and she swiped us into a dining hall which was my first time there in probably two years. It was a newly renovated one and holy SHIT it was massive and looked futuristic af. food still was as mediocre as I remembered it being but it was cool getting to go there one last time before I graduate.

Veiva got the veritable 2500th page...

In other news, went for a beer in a pub after a hard day of work. One bar turned into another and beers turned into shots and so it went.

Gonna be fun few days.

Be honest, don't know enough about backstreet boys to have an opinion, so I just picked the one with an embellished name.

Idk if that will skew your poll results but now you can remove that one vote so I guess.

So, Estonian Dude, what's your opinion on Kaur Lender and his beliefs on Estonian Society?

If anybodies interested he is doing an AMA on Reddit right now.

First off, should be Kaur Kender for him to be somebody.

Secondly, he is pretty much Trump or even worse here.

I know some people who know him personally, I am yet to meet with the man. But they say that in daily life he ain't half that bad. That said, he has been known to live a "bad" lifestyle with substance abuse and whatnot. He is a smart man, but a bit too radical for my tastes.

Sorry about the name, autocorrect did its thing and I didn't proof read.

As for the answer I can understand the Trump comment somewhat as I believe he just says things, but my real question so with his claims. Is fentanyl a big issue in Estonia that is being covered up, or is he just "Trumping" the claim with the belief it will sell books?

Well, it is an issue that is not covered in mainstream media.

However, I do not know the details on this case. I don't know anyone who has used fentanyl (besides myself, as I know it was injected to me during my knee surgery) nor have I seen anyone injecting anything.

I do know that we have a special strain of HIV in one part of the country however. And I also know that one tenth of the population is immune to HIV due to a gene mutation.
