I saw another dead animal on the road today...let this be a lesson to all animals reading TIF: look both ways  :notalk: !

Friend sold off some of his spare DOTA2 gear and bought Five Nights at Freddy's on Steam. Three of us ending up watching him play in the lab, appropriately giving/yelling advice.

I likely failed a quiz today in Discrete Math because I've been too cheap to buy the book for it and I can't find a torrent for it or even any of its previous editions. The hard life of learning set theory from notes alone #firstworldproblems

What book? I might be able to help you out

Essentials of Discrete Mathematics, 2nd ed. by David Hunter

Oh I only have Discrete Mathematics and its Applications 6th ed by Kenneth H. Rosen

Let me know if you need help with anything though

There are about a billion idle games floating around on Kongregate - which reminds me to get back to mine.

Last night I had to work an 8 hour shift after already being up for 16 hours. Was not fun, and I work a job that's over 50% downtime. Probably would've passed out otherwise. Then had to deal with extremely painful leg cramps at 3 in the morning. Overall not a fun day. Also found out I barely passed a test I thought I did really well on, hoping the marker just screwed up the grade entry because if what I wrote is only D material I'm not sure how getting an A or B would be possible.

I had a Blue Moon (the beer) today for the first time. I guess you could say I have it once in a blue moon.

The joke doesn't work until you've had it on a second occasion.

I had another one just now. I guess you could say I have it twice in a blue moon.

I learned how to use "inspect element" to circumnavigate porn blocks. This is so vital.

Fell ill.

And I used to brag about my steel-strong health...

Well, haven't managed to go swimming this semester yet, already has costed me dearly...

So I've noticed this thread's regulars all follow similar trends.

RPG is constantly dealing with psycho exes.

Muggi reminds us of the joys of polygamy.

Saq is totally oblivious to how much chicks dig him.

I strike out every other week.

Kalphite wages a war against the friend zone.

Randox pretty much stays rational.

Etc, etc

Do you ever do the polar bear plunge thing or whatever they're called for charity, if they exist where you are?

Woke up at around 5am this morning and jumped into the pool while it was still cold out. Felt amazing. Gonna go try the natural springs pool next time since the water there's usually freezing even if it's scorching hot outside.

I had a nice swim in Algonquin park last weekend....sooooo good

I wanted to jump into the pool last winter when it was below freezing outside, but I didn't want to do it alone in case things went south lol. I figure in the mean time, I might as well get in the habit of doing this every morning so by the time it's freezing outside I'll have gradually adjusted to it.

Be careful - no matter how used to it you are, you will die in half an hour in 32F water, and probably lose consciousness in 15-20 minutes.
