Found out this weekend when my mom took a picture of me holding my neice that I have a legitimate bald spot on the back of my head growing. The hardest spot for me to see. It's not super noticeable, but it's definitely there.

Yeah, some of it should come back. I've heard you get about 6 months' reversal. The problem is, I don't really know where that bald spot was in February months ago, since I can't really look at that spot.

I think I'm finally cracking under the pressure of work / school. I am so depressed and the delusions are creeping back. I've taken on too much for someone with as severe as a mental illness as me. I may have to drop my summer classes and dial down on how many I'm taking next semester. I have like 1 day to decide.

 

It's bad graduating a semester later, it would be worse not graduating at all.

This is definitely the right mindset. And like Going said, you know you better than anyone. It speaks volumes that you're recognizing this now and are willing to step back and care for yourself.

 

As much as it may feel like it life's a marathon not a sprint.

I think what I'm going to do instead is dial down hour many hours I work (planning on quitting soon anyway) and drop one of the classes. That should be do able. I'll then move around some classes next semester so I have the random electives + like Calculus I / English (not necessary for my program but useful for transferring) in the Spring so I'm taking no more than 4 classes at a time.

 

I'll plan on transferring to NC State, and failing that, the local Fayetteville State University. If I only get into FSU I'll do classes so I have a strong case for transferring to Georgia Tech a year later. Otherwise if I'm at NC State I'll finish out my program there without the extreme debt of Georgia Tech. I will then try and get into Georgia Tech for a dual MBA / MS  in CS some point in the future, then maybe I could get a PhD at MIT. Assuming I don't go down the managerial programming route professionally.

 

I'd love to go into academia and pursue AI, but I'd also love to be CTO of a giant company.

I'm glad you're acknowledging the importance of looking after your mental health and it looks like you've got a viable plan that works.

On the topic of mental health I am sinking deeply into depression and might need to go back on medication for it.

My aunt is gravely ill and my cousin who I basically grew up with is psychotic and aggressive which has been triggering for me.

 

Steps forward in my life are always seemingly accompanied by constant emotional blows. I'm going to start solo travelling as much as possible again.

 

Oslo in June, Hamburg and Copenhagen early August followed by Amsterdam at the end of August I think.

Then I'm looking into doing a week in Finland and Sweden in September and I may do Christmas in Switzerland. The sooner I take a train, bus, flight, bike ride, the sooner I will feel better.

I added the Isabelle boss fight.

 

She rezzes some skeletons at the beginning of the fight. There's one corresponding to each combat style, and so long as it is alive, she can't be damaged by that combat style. She then does a few regular attacks before using a power. For example, if she's using the zweihander, she'll use Tornado which deals damage in an AOE and hits the target twice. She then does a couple more regular attacks before switching combat styles and repeating the cycle.

 

On the boss HUD it shows which styles she's immune to. There's going to be some dialog before you fight her, too, but I haven't added that.

Woke up at 4:15 this morning to a flash flood warning on my phone, and hail falling outside. Found out this evening, apparently the bottom floor of my building (below the apartments) was flooded, and they've closed off the office and gym.

 

My apartment's fine, despite being the closest one to "ground floor" because we're on a hill.

I went to the Advisory Committee for the computer departments at my school today. There were only a few other people (all alumni) invited. The dean and chairpeople of the three major computer-related departments were there. I was able to give some feedback on how I think the curriculum could improve.

 

I thought that was pretty cool.

Also the demo for my game is fundamentally done. I just need to add some post-quest dialogue and a settings screen. Also music but that's a difficult one.

 

Gotta form an LLC and get a extended verification code signing certificate. Going to cost upwards of $500-600 if I understand everything correctly. Then it's time to approach publishers & all that jazz.

I don't think I remembered to mention it, but ytmnd shut it's servers 2 weeks back. Turns out the internet isn't forever :(
