I currently have black drags, iron drags, steel drags blocked Hes looping me these 5 assignments: Kalphites Black Demons Greater Demons Hellhounds Fire Giants Its usually like this Hell hound Greater Hell hound Hell hound Black demon Kalphite Kalphite Fire Giant. its repeated like this or similar for the last 50 tasks. (sometimes an exact repeat of those 8 tasks) Ive never gotten any other tasks, and ive spend maybe 300-400 points+ canceling tasks i dont feel like doing (black demons/hellhounds/kalphites) all get annoying fast Ive faught mithril drags/water fiends/bloodvelds/ abberants / gargoyles / nechs / dusties/ dags /skeletals etc before. I have access to them all.... Ive done what lies below (But not DT) The experience is pretty good if anyone minds to point that out, but i'm making basically 0 profit. And i can't even afford to cannon kalphites anymore its getting ridiculous. and this is so repetitive to the point of I can't stand it. D Jay99 Posted August 14, 2008 Share Posted August 14, 2008 Multiple people seem to have this problem. The general solution seems to be: 'Try sumona for a few tasks, then go back to duradel.' Troacctid Posted August 14, 2008 Share Posted August 14, 2008 I don't think he's really glitched, but if this is really happening to other people, I think some of his good tasks are weighted as waay too uncommon. I don't use Duradel except on the 10th task anyway, so it doesn't bother me too much. Anyway, I don't mind Black Demon tasks. I started using sumona again just recently and She hasn't gave new monsters either, so im thinking... If i burthorpe a task.... Do you think it will knock things back to normal. I mean I have never had the following tasks once. Ever. Dags Dusties (DT done) Spirtual Warriors Spirtual Mages Terrordogs Nechs Gargoyles Mith Drags (killed before) Waterfiends Infernal Mage Wyverns Cave Horrors (got mask drop) Bloodvelds only from sumona I know about weighted tasks but it cant be a 1% chance for all these monsters and 20% for the common monsters It will be discouraging to see the 250 tasks in a row dissapear, but think it would make a difference? I don't see how they're a bad task, and steels should be on everybody's block list. Your just unlucky, and it is a fact that some tasks are weighed much more commonly than others. Anyway - several people suggested I change to Sumona for a bit, which I did, I'm now back on Duradel & guess what? NO CHANGE!! Id personally maybe enjoy that because I often have triple greater demons (yuck!) hell hounds or kalphites. fire giants is my lucky rare task lol. It got so boring so quickly but I guess it was worth it. I mean, who gets 10 whips on task in 2 slayer levels? Either way, on the 82nd task i got Dagonnoth and my streak was broken. Now i get bloodvelds and mages and a lot of others. Only advice I can give you is just keep slaying. Sumonna starts to loop as well and with not as good tasks. But when the loop breaks on one master, it breaks on all of them. Thanks to all those who have messaged me concerning a revamp of my Range-Slayer guide. kemikalkadet Posted August 30, 2008 Share Posted August 30, 2008 I was already 400k from 99 slayer when the update came out so i didn't really spend too much time slaying with the new method, but the tasks i had were massively repetitive. From 1-98 slayer i never had a task repeat but they changed it with the update. I really dont understand why as it gave good variety. My longest streak was 4 abyssal tasks of 180+ in a row. Ended up doing the Kalphite task, irons was the next task. But after I canceled I got skeletals, so the loops is broken :D Duradel seems to pick on you sometimes.
