Some Things I will never understand

I wouldn't bury a bone, just because it's there. I can buy bones when I want to use them for faster experience.

I don't pick up coins, I have enough for God Wars.

Point being, If I want to bury a bone, i'll buy it so I can use it when I want, not just because it's there.

If I'm stuck for cash I'll GWD, picking up every coin adds up sure, but I can get more by just going to GWD when I want to.

Together they'd add up..but no thanks. Too much effort for a reward over too long.

Reasons not to bury bones:

  • no space

    fear of random event

filling inventory for bones to peaches

Reasons to bury bones:

  • plenty of space

    easy kills lots of bones

Herbs: pick up Harralander and above, space permitting.

coin: ya always pick up coins.

I do agree with you whole-heartedly with the coin picking up idea, but on the others I wouldn't.

You say, ooh 100 bones and it's the same as a really good bone. But 100 normal bones buried is not just 100 clicks, but 100 clicks followed by 100 waits for the bone to be buried. It's a time:xp ratio thing. Also, people play this game for fun, they don't want to be picking up and sorting through the drops of every monster they kill to get 4.5 pray xp and perhaps, occassionally, 2.5 herblore xp. It's really not worth it.

Now I don't know how good an account you have on RS, but in the first few weeks of me playing I remember burying every single bone that I saw, and trying to pick up every item I found on the floor. But now I have a decent account with 84 Slayer, and if I had carried on like this then I would have been bored out of my mind years ago, I would have either quit, or be about 70 Slayer. OK, I may have 1 more prayer level, and probably a couple more herblore levels, but it would be so boring and repetetive that it would render it not only boring, but inefficient.

You say it's free xp, but time is money, and the time spent doing this would actually render it very expensive and inefficient.

I dont wanna do 1k clicks for 1k gp. Runecrafting would be much faster for 1k. ::'

2.5xp in herb and 4.5xp in prayer = pointless.

If u wanted xp for other skills you would obviously train them instead of training combat. #-o

Not worth the time spent. 100 bones make 450 exp? Woop. Now count that it also takes 500 seconds to pickup and bury them. I could've spent that 8 minutes doing things far more valuable than that.

I do pick up and bury dragon bones while on dragon tasks though, 72 exp is more noticable and reasonable.

I pick all the coins these days, and if I ever get tired of doing a slayer task, I will bury the occasional bone so I can get a Random event  - Splits it up a bit for me :)

I bury dragon bones, pick up ranarrs and kwuarms and take every coin pile that looks like it's more than a few gp.

^ Just today, did I bother to do a price check on those herbs, now I pick up everyone, I must have missed out on some big cash XD

I guess some people don't do it, because they are financially well-off or just don't need the money.

I understand that, but it is mostly something that lwer levels would tend to do. In the 4 clicks It takes me to clean an herb, I could hit a few more times on a monster. Those hits is easily more exp than burring a few bones. Your argument seems to apply to charms as well though

Bones: I will not pick up bones simply because 4.5 pray exp is far too little. I might pick them up if i am on a slayer task/grinding and I brought bones to bananas with me. a few more minutes training is always good. Otherwise, the exp is marginal and Won't add up much. If I we to get 100 of them, that's 400 exp. The problem is, its not too much. It really is not worth it except at lower levels. Big bones I will pick up on occasion.

Coins: I tend to pick them up If I am doing a slayer task or grinding on something that does not require much food. If the value of common drops is worth much more than the coins I would get, I totally ignore that.

Herbs: not worth the time to pick it up, clean it, and then drop it.

Charms: this one is tough some times. If I am fighting Ice giants/warriors, I will pick up the charms because they will drop a lot of them. If I see a crimson or blue, I will get it. However, I am weary of the gold and greens. I may pick up the greens, But I wound use them until I can summon something that I can use to make money with greens. THe golds, I am saving untill I have many marigolds or have 52 summoning. If I fight dragons however, The money I make with the dragon hide is worth more than the exp/money loss for a green charm.

I don't even get excited by whip/d boot/sara sword drops anymore I'm so used to them. I havn't buried bones since around 2004 lol. With herbs, if I accidentally pick one up I'll clean then drop it usually but I prefer just to go on to the next monster..I basically leave whatever I can to get through a task in one trip or stay as long as possible if camping. I leave bones at metal drags as randoms are a real pain there. I have friends who bury bones there and others that actually bank all bones.
