Oh their calendars run out? And the world ends? OH NO!

Answer? I'll give 'em one of my 2013 calendars. Now they have a calendar, and the world won't end. Problem solved.

--------

World won't end. I've got other more important things to do rather than sit here and worry about my death.

I had a piece of grass on my shoe, and she wiped that off. Yeah. Impressive, eh? That's probably the closest I've ever been to having sex. :P

Y2k didn't come true. I doubt Apocalypse will. It's just a myth of all sorts involving the end of the Mayan Calendar, which supposedly was better than ours, without the trouble of adding a leap year. Black hole in the Milky Way, that I've never heard of, but I don't think scientists can predict and calculate locations of black holes, since we know so little about them.

I doubt it'll happen...

So far most of the doomsayers always get it wrong, by the simple fact that we are still here. I think even Nostradamus said we'd all die in a apocalyptic end of the world sometime before today.

And even if it does happen, that just means I'll never have to worry about raising my family or paying the mortgage on my house. Always be optimistic

I can't wait for 2012 to be over, to shut the doomsayers up and see what apocalypse they'll concoct next. There's always going to be some kind of "newly discovered evidence" that the National Enquirer says will prove the world will end.

tip it would pay me $500.00 to keep my clothes ON :(
But then again, you fail to realize that 101% of the people in this universe hate you. Yes, humankind's hatred against you goes beyond mathematical possibilities.
That tears it. I'm starting an animal rebellion using my mind powers. Those PETA bastards will never see it coming until the porcupines are half way up their asses.

Apparently a lot of people say it. I own.

Yeah London 2012- "Last Olympics Before The World Blows Up"

I'm sure that would attract quite a few people to watch it anyway.

Hah, but seriously, I thought the world was going to blow up on the new Millenium, when I was 7, it didn't. The video of me and my dad on the couch waiting for the new millenium was great :P The first thing I actually said was "Yay we didn't blow up and by the way I don't like lemonade"

I think it'll be just like that, nothing will happen. Why does everyone think the Mayans are right? I'm pretty sure I read they've predicted some things right (or it was some other people- I forget...), but that would have been out of how many theories? And isn't it just the end of their calendar anyway?

And if the world does end, why worry about it, we'll all be too dead to think back on this and say "Oh crap the Mayans were right"

i can sum up the 2012 apocalypse in three words.

large.

hardron.

collider.

Really? I can sum it up in one. Too bad this is a g-rated forum.

Does it count as one word if you hyphenate?

OT: I don't see how it's even debatable. It's quite obviously a load of crap.

Cool.

I think you pretty much summed up the solution to the problem with that one sentence.

fact: a truth known by actual experience or observation; something known to be true

fiction: an imaginary thing or event, postulated for the purposes of argument or explanation

hmm...i wonder what the aztecs might have come up with to explain their fear of the unknown...

hint- see:fiction

You idiot,it was the maya who predicted it not the aztecs :shame:

Why must someone be insulted for getting something wrong? Is he really an idiot because he was incorrect  ?

Anyways, this is just a joke. 12/12/12? Looks cool, except you have to take out the zero...and the two...

Does a doomsday theory have to erupt every time there's a cool date on the calendar?

No. In many countries it is listed as: day/month/year 1/2/03, so 12/12/12 is the correct thing for 12 December 2012 :)

Even if it is true, why worry. I'd spend your last 4 years enjoying it. I'm not saying rob a bank and all that, but might as well chill, cause it can't be reversed, even if it is true. So yeah...

That would be cool, but it's supposed to occur on December 21, not 12.

Lufthansa Magazin for the month of July gves an interview with some persn who's talented in those parts and he says something about a black hole and something. also, who cares if the poles move?! once they were in asia, one they danced round on the pacific, and they're ALWAYS moving. If our lives finish, we wont have anything to worry about when we die.

But if it does happen, all my hope is taht at least it'll happen in 2014. 2012 has MANY important events planned in it.

Death should not be taken as 'the end,' but a very effective way to cut down taxes.

Wow, that was... epic. But, we would have known for a long time now if something that size was heading for earth.

That video only applies to HGE asteroids, but the chances of a HUGE asteroid hitting the earth is 0.84. If a normal asteroid hit Earth, well, the people directly under it would be instantly killed, but the shock waves would travel not so quickly. However, the shock would be so strong that ALL electric devices of Earth would shut down. Later, In th next areas, ther would be acid rain.

Well, who cares about the apoclypso?

Doomsday come and me wanna go home.

to everyone saying that we have a long time before a meteor that size hits earth...

i suggest you google "Niburu". it is the name of the meteor that might enter our solar system in (you guessed it) 2012.

its one of the big 2012 doomsday theories. bs of course.
