But in light of recent events, the promise of good ole' PKin' has caused the market to do cartwheels, I bought full veracs for under three mil. what has the world come to?

Um shouldn't you be happy you didn't spend more on it? I'd think that I'd rather lose a set of something knowing that it would be cheaper to buy back.

Merchanters and perhaps price manipulators, they're hoarding the products and selling if they fear it will fall, this is why it's taking dips and going up.

Have you ever thought that some of those items are dropping because of the fact that school in some major countries has started again? It could explain why everything is dropping the way it is.

End of summer market crash. Everyone sells their whole bank on the GE.

 

 

 

You could take this as the lowering in value of cash, but raw materials are staying roughly the same. So in other words, it's harder to make cash and easier to buy armor, but skills become harder to buy.

I'm getting sick of them and I quite like a good economic thread- the problem is, none of them are good. All they talk about is the here in now crashes that, long term, are no more than mere dips in price.

It's NOT a result of pkers, it's a result of all the schoolkids selling their members items before school starts because they are going f2p for the schoolyear. It happens every year and has little to do with the promised pvp worlds.

OT: Anyway, you're probably right, Mario. Another reason for D Axe going down is probably the Inferno Adze. Dragon Axe is now only bought by people who

 

 

 

1) don't have 92 FM

 

2) can't be bothered to light the Beacons

 

3) want to chop logs without having them burned once in a while.

Most prices are going to drop, there's a higher supply and lower demand. It's simple market trends. I'm sure if new equipment is released the prices will change again lol :D

Yea, because buying membership only during the summer obviously means that's all you do, all summer is play runescape.

 

 

 

Some kids are only allowed membership during the summer because their parents want them to focus on schoolwork during the school year. Others are college kids who need all the cash they can get to pay their tuition.

And the people who realised what was going on merchanted them all. If you look on the 30 day graphs for the GE database there is a very useful pink 20-day average line as well as the yellow and blue 5 and 1 day average line. Now in most scenarios the pink line seems to reflect a "real" price. Prices recently plumetted on expensive non-rare items and most of the time it doesn't even matter why, the fact is that if you see the blue line falling so low below the pink, it's bound to go bouncing back up again soon. I and many others have made millions out of this recent price flux and whether it was caused by some organised rich players or the thought of PvP didn't concern us, the fact is that the items hadn't changed and nothing had come out to replace them, meaning that the price change was purely down to the players and the players are prediactable. So things dropped but you can see now that they are going back up, they will probably venture a little bit higher than the pink line, then drop again and continuing repeating this process with smaller and smaller price changes until they reach a stable price.
