Ginger_Warrior
A sweet, sweet moment. Hopefully a win at Wembley against Barca just to complete a fantastic season. | Favourite Game Music | Last.fm | HYT Friend Chat Rules |
OldJoe
^Uniteds performance yesterday was really something. I think the title would be theirs already if Valencia and Park had been fit all season ('course Rooney too). And how Chicarito wasn't in the nominations for Young player of they year is beyond belief. Ah and, i just pictured in my head from the last season about the Glazer scarfs (with the picture above in mind), when Beckham wore one at Old Trafford. Osman with a perfect header, superb! I wonder what summer it'll be for Everton, half the squad (and manager) is rumoured for other clubs. But at least it has been a consistent season by Everton; no money, slow first few months, injuries and a good ending to the season. On another note, Sampdoria on the way to Serie B, and i watched their qualifiers against Bremen in CL in the autumn. Lateralus
If City don't win any remaining games (one loss, two draws) we can get 4th with better goal difference. It's a long shot but it just goes to show how our season has turned around. La lune ne garde aucune rancune.
MirageOfDeath
Yeah, I'd have laughed if I was told Liverpool would end up anywhere near the top 4 last December. Just wondering why it's taking so long to make Kenny's post permanent.

Just wondering why it's taking so long to make Kenny's post permanent. Can't imagine they won't make it permanent though, can only think they decided to sort it at the end of the season or something and are sticking by that. But yeah being even in with a chance of 4th is incredible all things considered.
MonkeyChee
Great news, Dalglish is now full-time manager, and has signed a 3-year contract. It's about time  http://www.liverpoolfc.tv/news/latest-news/kenny-signs-three-year-deal Also important is that first-team coach Steve Clarke has also signed a contract. OldJoe
The summer window will be interesting. Logic says it should be a slow one due to UEFA financial rules soon coming into place, but as many others say, itll probably be a hectic one. One of the more interesting ones will be how the Russian and Ukrainian (especially Shakhtar) teams will deal with this. PL, Bundesliga etc teams gets enourmous amounts of money in sponsoship and tv-money. But the Eastern-European teams don't have this. The financial rules will be interesting, because it wont mean a damn thing if you're an Oligarch and your name Akhmetov and can buy 5 million merchandising items or own the head-sponsor of the teams. BloodAngel
Glad Liverpool have got Dalglish as their full time manager, he's done really well for them. I came across this on one of my friend's FB pages, make for interesting reading if you're a Liverpool or Chelsea fan: "Unfortunately, the real world isn't the same as a fairy tale." Ginger_Warrior
The Met must feel like they've hit the jackpot. So basically, stay 50 miles away from London for that fixture then? | Favourite Game Music | Last.fm | HYT Friend Chat Rules |
MonkeyChee
So then, final league table: Disappointed that Liverpool lost the last 2 games, meaning no Europe, but considering how we started 6th is a great finish, and things look positive for the future. Close results today with the relegation teams changing constantly, in the end it's Birmingham and Blackpool, I would've liked Blackpool to stay up but oh well. Ginger_Warrior
I picked Wolves and Blackpool to go down a few weeks ago, with West Ham of course, so not too far out. I'd have liked it if Wigan had gone down but I never expected them to tbh. Full of drama though, best final day in years, 5Live right to compare it to a game of musical chairs. The scenes at Molineux were mental I'm told so be sure to watch MoTD tonight. | Favourite Game Music | Last.fm | HYT Friend Chat Rules |
SirHartlar
Disappointing to see Blackpool go down when they were so close to staying up at 2-1, two great goals from Super Pav to grab a late win for Spurs though.

Johannas
Big contrast to last seasons table http://uk.eurosport.yahoo.com/football/premier-league/2009-2010/league-tables/ Blackpool who finished 19th, would've finished 14th last season considering the amount of points and their goal difference. The lower half of the table are evidently upping their games! Not much joy as a Leeds fan, but a good season overall. Thank you to tripsis for an awesome sig! OldJoe
Thoughts on tonight? It's a shame that Fletcher has been out for a couple of months, i saw him in the last game and damn, he'd lost several kilos. Him+Park would be so useful against Barca. Seeing Busquets (spelling?) against Vidic will be nice (tho they won't meet so often on field, .. but you know what i mean). Only because i want United to win, i'll say 2-1. SirHartlar
I hope it is a good game of football more than anything, but I want Man Utd to win because I'm sick of the theatrics Barca keep employing in matches to get the attention of the referee. MirageOfDeath
I think it's going to be a close game. Hopefully it'll be better than the last two CL finals that were pretty one-sided. I suck at predicting but I'll do one anyway. :P 2-2 in normal time with Messi to score the winner in extra time.
