quit flaming him...not everyone is has billions of geepee sitting in the bank -.- even if the sgs is going to continue falling, if he values it a lot and plans to never ever sell it then good for him...there is no "right" time to buy such weapons cause i can assure you that sgs will drop to below 10m one day when new supreme equipments enter the market...but how long are you going to wait for that to happen?

 

 

 

it is basically a trade off between time and money (as usual basically everything revolves around these 2. Buy sgs early and save time but lose money or buy sgs later and lose time but save money...

Well he didn't put a story saying how he had to work so hard for the money or anything. 44M is not that hard to make if you actually try, believe me. Also on other forums if you just buy an item and post it as an achievement they just lock your post because buying an item is not really an accomplishment, how you make the money is.

Well yeah, i'd rate it as an achievement if there were any signs on your thread how you actually made the money, but for now, it isn't even achievement. If everyone posted things like that noone could find their way in the flood of stupid threads.

Why the hell does everyone care how he made the money? Shit, he finally was able to get an item he wanted and he's happy about it, he never said it was some amazing achievement although it is to him and thats all that counts.

finally got a needle on the ge!!!!!!@@@@@@, after managing to kill men for 3 seconds i obtained 10 gp and was able to buy 10 needles. am i proud? hell yeah. 10 needles is awesome man, i mean its worth all of 10gp...

 

 

 

thats the sort of threads that will start coming up. if you had posted some of the drops or skills you got along the way for getting the cash to buy the sgs then it would be rated higher.

 

 

 

also on another point: buying an item at lower than someone else did, is nothing to flame about. i bought my zgs at 32m, its now 27.1m i think (and falling further), but am i going to sell it? hell no. if you really want an item you keep it, no matter how much cash you will lose.

Actually the SGS is closer to its "proper" price now than ever before. When Jagex released the Grand Exchange, they messed up incredibly in pricing the SGS/AGS. They both jumped tens of millions from their correct street price in November/December.

 

 

 

Since then, the market has slowly been correcting itself, as more and more saradomin godswords have been traded through the GE, almost all of them at minimum price because it has not yet reached the price at which the "body" of rs would seriously be willing to buy one.

 

 

 

Admittedly it's hard on GWDers, as well as those who bought it for more, but that's to be expected. Honestly who expected godswords to rise, as more and more of them are created every day?

New weapons don't need to be out to have an impact on the market. It's called speculation and it has a lot of hold on the RS economy. When JaGex announced there would be new weapons for the new pvp worlds God swords started to fall faster than usually, at least from what I remember.

 

 

 

I'm pretty sure the SGS was more than 85 mil when the GE but besides the point the GE isn't the main reason why the SGS is falling. Basic supply, demand, and speculation.

 

 

 

OP got an amazing deal on one of the most powerful weapons in RS legit and you decide to be a fairy because you didn't have the foresight to wait it out or be completely fine with losing some cash to have a fancy weapon sooner.

I didn't lose any money on the sgs because I had the foresight to sell it in time. I've stated my opinion, I'm done.

I laughed at the contents of this entire thread.

I remember when I got my first godsword, was a great feeling. I paid the same price.... but for a Bgs! :oops: Oh well, I enjoyed pking with it back in the day. Goodluck with your sword, and may it bring you riches! :)
