We have just launched a new RuneScape subscription pre-pay card in Target stores throughout the US. The card features exclusive art on the front and comes in two versions: 30 days' subscription and 90 days' subscription.

Once purchased, you can then use the PIN number on the back of these cards to subscribe to RuneScape. You can do this by clicking on Account in the websites navigation, choosing Start/Extend Subscription, logging in, selecting Subscribe by RuneScape Card as your payment method and then accepting the terms and conditions.

Can anyone who buy this please study the skillcape on the card?(if anyone do buy this)

Basically like a Wallie card for Americans.

This'll do well for their income, since kids dont have to use their dads creditcard anymore, instead they just buy it from the local toystore.

Target isn't a toy store. It's a department store.

It's just the same when you ask mommy if you can buy something with your own money when she goes shopping.

Soooo... It's not PvP? :(

Lol, just kidding. This'll be nice, now kids won't need to steal parents' credit cards and stuff, although if that price is right that's quite a mark up.

Cool idea. It's $7.95 for 30 days and $22.50 for 90 days, which is alrightish.

It should be $20 for 90 days. I hate when companies don't offer deals for bulk purchases.

Stupid Jagex. Good thing I'm not renewing my membership when it goes out.

It is reduced, by $1.35. Although that isn't really much for a triple-buy.

They did. If you bought three 30 day cards, then you'd be around $24, you save around $1.50 with the 90 day card :geek:

The prices are rip off for the most part.

With the cost of shipping out those cards and the price of the actual card, they'd need to put an increase in price to avoid losing too much money. It's just an extra method of payment, for those not as fortunate to have access to a credit card or phone.

Exactly. If you don't have the most convenient form of payment, you're not going to get the best price.

I wonder if these cards are activated when scanned, or if they are pre-activated and could be stolen from the store for activation.

From my experience, many employees at target are SCUM and often thief anything that is easy to.

also, if Target discount applies to these cards, it would actually be cheaper membership for target employees(10% of 22.50= 2.25 off or 20.25 per membership)...

I think this will just lead to a new way of real world trading, but at least Jagex see's the profit this time.

At the same time, it could get rid of real world trading if people were previously doing it because their parents refused to pay for memberships.

In conclusion, Good seems to slightly outweigh the bad

so, why does my local wal-mart have the cards?

See, I remember a few friends and I went to walmart and one commented on the runescape membership card.

I recall the date, July 4th. Because we got kicked out for standing around at like midnight and talking in the electronics.

so are these new cards or whats the deal with the ones I saw?
