Allah means God in Arabic, it isn't a separate deity. :P

Just wanted to point that out, let's leave religious discussions at that. ;)

I always thought they would be just blank gold coins. Otherwise they would have to have an imprint for the kingdom in which they were made (Kandarin, Asgarnia, etc...) and we'd have too many different kinds of currency.

Although there's a possibility to see the face of Andrew on there.

I guess that means I'm the thread Terminator?

I found this on one of the official wallpapers, so I'm assuming this is what the coins look like.

There are numerous different currencies throughout mine realms, with each of the major fiefs holding a different currency, yet all are of similar size, weight, and all made of purest gold, so they are accepted everywhere regardless of the patterning which merely shows from whence they came.

The standard coinage is to have either the royal coat of arms or a profile of the ruler of the land on one side of the coin, and a symbolic design on the other. Varrock for example hath a shield motif on one side, and the Varrockian Crest on the other, the shield being testament to a great hero who once did dwell there.

What do I win?

^^ LOL!

I thought it would look like a coin of gold- but when you examine it (99,999 or less), it says:

"Lovely Money"

Maybe it says "Lovely Money" written on it? :-k

they would all look different.

coins from the bank of falador would have to have a different king than he coins coming from shilo village bank. or say the castle wars chest. aswell, gp created through alchemy would have to either be blank or have a crazy famous alchemist on it lol.

I can imagine that different coins would have different faces depending on area, just like back in ancient times, the determination of the value of said coin would be dependant on what it's made of. Because all GP is gold, it's obviously of the gold origin which really isn't possible in real life. If you base your whole economy on one unit it can fluctuate wildly depending on how much of it you possess.

Well, yes it's just one unit, it's just counted by how many coins you have. but of course, that's not the question.

I believe it would be a gold coin with the name of the area you earn it in on it, or it would be just plain because it would'nt really matter anyway.

Not sure if anybody mentioned this yet, but if you kill a rat when your shrunk during Grim Tales, you get coins: HUGE COINS! It shows 100% detail. There you have it. Coins up-close.

So if the coins do have a design on them, do the coins from high alching things also have designs? If so, how do they get there?
