The Ritual will happen and Lucien and many Zammy Mahjarrat will be the ones sacrificed and Zaros will steal this power that Lucien was going to use to achieve godhood and regain his own godhood. Thus the Zaros Mahjarrat and Zaros will leave.

Then the Dragonkin will show up and retrieve the Stone of Jas.

Well, congratulations on this wonderous research, first of all. Second, I find a few issues with some of what you hypothesize:

1. I don't know if you've noticed, but the 8-point star of the DragonKin's symbol resembles a compass. (N,NE,E,SE,S,SW,W,NW).

2. I find the possibility of the existence of an inferno underneath Castle Drakan very interesting, especially because of the intense heat we know is needed to smith dragon items.I think we only assume it's a city because it's more exciting.

3. The Dragon items themselves have indeed been neglected long, but you misunderstood the impling's intention. It said "though their owners are stirring". Meaning that this huge weapon storage will not be left alone for long, as its owners are strring and will soon come to claim these weapons.

4. You missed a very important sentence, right at the beginning of p.19 of research notes 1: The DragonKin are supposed to have corrupted the very land they were on. Here lies hidden the reason for the corruption of the wilderness and Morytania, but it poses a difficulty. If the Icyene were really good in nature, why did they not heal the land? I find it hard to believe that a vampyre, no matter how strong, can have the same effect on the land as the might DragonKin.

5. Anyone tried to find out who this Barakur guy from the "my notes" book is? He may be of some importance.

6. While on the subject of names, You fail to mention the names and language of the DragonKin. We have 2 (possibly more, can't remember) DragonKin names revealed in While Guthis Sleeps, and already know the word that means "surrender", or possibly "die". Robert the Strong obviously understood that word, as his reply was "Never!". Which brings up another point. Is it possible that humans could once speak the language of the DragonKin?

7. The examine of the winged bones in the Bounty Hunter crater said "Perhaps". How can you be sure that those are, indeed, the bones of a dead DragonKin?!

8. The DragonKin may have also been serving an evil God in Jas, and Guthix may have restored balance by taking the stone. Guthix, after all, is the God of bakance. It is possible that Jas stole the stone from someone else, by the way. Just a thought...

9. The scales referred to in Postbag 10 may well me the hexagonal scales on the stone of Jas, again, just a thought...

Cheers,

Well, it's said many times the wilderness was corrupted by the god wars and Morytania was one of the most beautiful places until Zamorakian forces invaded it. So I think the lands were already purified (by Iycenes?) when the 3rd age started, but then became corrupted again by the slaughter of the Zamorakian forces.

Maybe the Icyene could only keep the land purified so long as they were there to keep it that way. When they were overthrown, it simply returned to it's corrupted state.

Well, that's a really nice theory, and would settle well with things.

But seriously.

what if you are one of the elder gods reborn moral? ;P that means we see thousands of eldergods a day. lol

If it turns out that the elder gods are actually the players themselves, or something corny like that, I'm gonna be really pissed

I dont think it's that trivial, but it does bring about a nice point... Could Guthix possibly be hiding on RS? Maybe as M.O.M or the W.O.M? Or the old guy near the temple on the river Salve, with his weird bag of bones making muffled sounds... Or those weird stones in the field near fally...

Doubtful really. Guthix himself is asleep and the other gods are prohibited from directly influencing the world, so I really don't think they'd be walking around with phyiscal bodies.

I really think that area of stones near Fally could do great with a sort of pagan/gods of nature sort of deal.

That just means the other Gods are out of the picture. Guthix may not be asleep in the human sense of the word, but rather in hiding among the humans of Gielinor, waiting for the right time to re-emerge. Plus, we already know from the W.O.M that he's going to die in a great fight against the DragonKin & Mahjarrat (I think both, if some1 remembers swan song...). Maybe Guthix will emerge from W.O.M's death?

Dunno cause WOM is an avowed Saradominst. I don't think Guthix is really involved, but he may well wake up soon. Hopefully.

We know DIonysus was born; how would he do that if he was a God? Guthix was asleep is the 2nd, lasting into third, still not knowing about the GW. If he had been hiding amongst human, he would emerge much earlier.

Perhaps there was no reason for him to emerge. But now, we see the GWD re-activated, and Bandos getting stronger and angrier, and with the DragonKin and Mahjarrat all stirring to make their final moves, it may be the right time for Guthix to awaken.

But seriously.

Bandos has been severely weakened in the quest The Chosen Commander. He/she/it placed most of his/her/it's power into the ammulet, and when it was destroyed, he lost all this power. Proof for this is in the chat you can have with Oldak (or however the Tele-Sphere seller is called) about him.

However, now that Bandos is gone, there will be a power-vacuum for a short while which has to be filled. I think Lucien will fit in nicely (though it won't be pretty) tough Zaros could be placed instead of Lucien if the Rejuvenation Ritual quest involves destroying Lucien and/or resurrecting Zaros.

Guthix won't do anything with the Dragonkin, as htey have much of Stone's power. They even felt when it was removed from the hiding place.

Then if he was so angry with the dustruction of the world he created that he wept, telll me why its destruction was not the reason? Was he so stupid? As said, above, Bandos won't come back - credits to Zanik here, check SC - he won't come back to risk another loss from the hands of mortals.

Also, why would Mahjarrat make their final move? The real masters of stability seem to be the Dragonkin, as they had the Stone. They will have an epic role to play, Guthix won't do them much harm.

Anyway, to be sure we have to see. Anybody can have some other theory.

The Mahjarrat have to stir and move into position for their ritual. They have been at it for a while, now, and we should soon see their full exploits bear fruite. They have to move, if only for the reason that Lucien stole Stone.

The DragonKin may indeed be masters of stability, but they serve the one who serves Jas. And btw, how does Jas fit in to this? How does Zaros?

The destruction of the world may have been necessary to the future of Gielinor, which may be why Guthix sleeps in the first place - so as not to suffer worse while his beloved Gielinor is destoryed... Just a thought, though...

I highly doubt so: he was the main guy who shaped it; why would it be necessary? Any source making him the ruler of time, having set it earlier?

Ritual was only a side reason: Lucien wants to become a God, just like Zamorak did; it is confirmed by Movario, as well as Lucien.

Wel, I have a strange theory about Jas, tho i doubt Zaros had any role there... At first we have to find out what was Zaros the God of.

As to Jas, remember the hint Chaos Soahc Jas? Soahc = chaos backwards. So, he is probably a God of balance.

Either he was an Elder or... well I said it's bizarre. But could fit: found the Stone, which itself created the world and made it his; used nickname to make it harder to discover. I said it's strange. but why would he not be one of the real masters of stability?

Does anyone else see a pattern here?

Lucien finds the Stone, steals it, and hides it.. the Dragonkin are awakened and start to plan for the stone. Guthix is sleeping while Saradomin and Zamorak are forbidden from interacting with Gielinor. However all the gods are gaining power. Dragon weapons are possibly giving the Dragonkin power as we kill with them. All the cryptic hints that Kin are coming back.

The Kin try and steal the Stone from Lucien. Lucien enslaves the Kin and uses them to start his war against, well, everyone. The gods launch a war using all the resources they have at hand. The war rages across Runescape, Dragonkin killing, monsters ravaging towns, an epic war.. Guthix wakes up and total destruction unfolds.

No not really, I know crap about Runescape lore. But that would be an awesome quest/world event.

Oh and just to be an [wagon] Jaz is Guthix.

:twss: =D> finally someone opens this to the public i had my suspicions but i couldnt collect proof

The game haha you lose

I found on RSOF a reference to the Stone as the Hand of Zamorak; we know he had it in the 2nd/3rd Age, but maybe it would shed some more light?

Anybody recalls meeting this name before?
