Owned_Nex
Dragon Axe. The infernal Adze is the same but burns. Some want that, others dont . The D axe= Clay one, but the clay one will revert into clay, so you cant use it for that long. Dungeoneering isn't a skill. I'm faster than bots at Sorceress Garden. PM me if you want to chat. My PM is always off. My keyboard is on fire. Want some?

RayOxide
Whatcha talkin' bout snow? Speed is XP. I'd say MORPHIC clay axe would be pretty good - only if the xp rates arent screwed up anymore. Dragon axe is ok, tbh, so far for me it isnt .. 'fast' but, It's darn faster than a rune axe. I dont need a siggy no moar.
Juhnie
Quite a tough one. After Jagex updates Stealing Creation and its rewards, Morphic Clay Hatchet will give you double wc xp. So, unless you can cut with 2x speed using Dragon Axe compared to Clay Hatchet, Hatchet is faster experience. I'd probably choose a Clay Hatchet over a Dragon Axe, not just because of the xp, but also because the Clay Hatchet is much easier to get :twss: Master of Attack ~ August 29th, 2010Proud to have served the awesome Tip.It Crew <
fenrir321
volatile clay tools are only good for the people who are bored and don't care about concentrated training. In the cause of proto-tools: Daxe > Clay axe D axe equals 10 Clay axe equal 9.5 (at least in my case) Thrice, I have cut 12 yews in 30 seconds with a clay axe... The only catch is that it only lasts about 2.5 trips worth of yews.
Inuashakent
Rune axe > Clay They take too long to get and they only last for very little. [Summoning guide (AOW)] [Slayer guide] [Melee & Brawl player]

So you wouldn't have to cut 2 times faster with a Dragon Axe. Also, I don't know what Runescape you are playing but last I checked it was easier and faster to buy a Dragon axe through G.E. then it was to get enough SC points to buy enough axes for 99 wc. Like Kent said, they take to long to get for the short amount of life they have for them to be considered useful. The only SC items that are worth their time are the Hammer and Needle so far from what I have seen and heard. Apparently, my signature was to big. You can always play the game as a pastime activity and gain the points at the same time with your main intention not being getting the Axes, but enjoying the game instead. Then, in my opinion, the time taken to gain the axes should not be counted in. Fine. Clay Axe if you want to get 99 WC with a really low amount of logs. Dragon Axe if you want to get 99 WC as quickly as possible. Roseiah
If you a fan of SC and play it often I would go with the clay hatchet, for the simple fact is, it can give you a break in between training if you are going to be training for a long time, while still working towards your goal. My friend went for 99 woodcutting, would go to SC and get enough points for 5 hatchets, use them, and then go back and get more points. He only got 5 because he had a quite short attention span when wcing, so going to SC gave him the break he needed to relax while still working towards his goal.
