I was doing the Goblin Village quest and i was in goblin village and someone told me if i grabbed the zamorak wine and drank it i would get 100 combat levels. :roll:

 

 

 

and this was like when i had just started so i believed it and almost died :wall:

Also, I was told killing a white knight on Christmas gave you a santa hat, so I rushed through my Christmas dinner, rushed through visiting with family, and rushed opening my presents just to Scape.I sat there for hours killing knights, and didn't get so spend any time with my family. There really isn't a lot of room for rumors in the game today; everyone seems much more well-informed and knowledgeable. To be honest, being handed [almost] all the info I need through the KB and updates on the front page has caused RuneScape to lose some of that luster (ironic, considering it's now in HD) that it had when the graphics were bad and there weren't any trade limits (not that the trade limits really ruined anything for me; I'm just setting a time). The old graphics always seemed to conceal awe and mystery (try the first 'hard' quests like Legends, Underground Pass, Temple of Ikov). Looking in the bestiary and seeing that Black Demons were level 172 and dropped Rune Kiteshields and 100's of 'certs' of Silver Ores always made me think that there was a higher level of knowledge to the game, and now I feel I've reached that higher level, and now the game isn't so shiny...

countless stuff about the dark wizards and chaos monks...

 

If You give the wise old man runes he will multiply your runes or money. I was a little too ambitious and gave him 100 or so airs... I was sad when he took them (I was a low level, too poor to buy runes)

Keg of beer only makes your screen shake. It does not make you walk as if your unbalanced.

Back when I was using the (at the time) secret safe spot for Zilyana, I had convinced some friends that you blocked her via flowers from planting mithril seeds around her....good times.

You get a funny message =p use a herring on a normal tree you get "this is not the mightyest tree in the forest" (monty python) than use it on the grand tree you get " It can not be done" (also monty python) I had a good laugh when i tried it.

 

 

 

My most remembered one has to be that varrock's clothing store sold red p-hats for 100k... i saved for month's (100k is a tonne when your level 40ish) than sat at varrock clothing store for days. My mood after words is needless to say but hey i was level 40 with 100k :

I was in Lummy today cutting normal trees for fletching, when I heard this level 15 talking to a lower level player, talking about how he learned that the easiest way to level hitpoints is to take more damage. He suggested they fight a bunch of people without armor, so more damage would be received.

I have heard some of the more common ones like, zammy wine sells for 100k (I actually got a group of 5 friends and we got 15 of them each... but someone still bought them for 50k:thumbsup: ) and the if you kill lesser demons in the wildy on Christmas you get a santa hat.

 

 

 

My brother fell for a really bad one. Apparently if you go to lvl 22(?) wildy and get a skull with full addy one you get full rune. He was level 40 and he was so angry when he lost his best armour :lol:

I actually wanted to go up to someone who said that with both full rune and full trimmed rune in my inventory, tell them I'd try it, take off all my rune, wait a few seconds, and put the trimmed rune on. Just to get the guy back. Maybe he'd try it himself...

Someone once told me giving 5x the gold bars needed to make an smithing item and that armor piece to the anvil in the wilderness will get it trimmed (Yeah I really wanted Rune G back then...), so like bring 1 rune plate and 25 gold bars to get rune plate (g).

You need to kill lesser demons on easter to recieve a holiday item... :?
